As a reader, I'm looking for something fun and engaging, and also realistic and pleasing. I do love happy endings. See my profile for other details about me and whatI like. Don;t be scared off by me, either. I know I can come off as bitchy or intimidating (or maybe you might be put off by my occasional swearing?) but I'm really not like that too much. I'm really just a shy bookworm (don't laugh, but I know it's hard). I fun-loving and completely goofy all the time.As a betareader, I'm trying to help you improve your writing skills. I'm revising for grammar and plot holes, but I'm also up for giving and receiving suggestions. I'll do what I need to to help you be satisfied with your work, and also satisfy your readers.
As far as my betareading STYLE goes, I'm pretty laid back. I get the job done and enjoy it, but I'm not lazy. Other than that, I guess that's something you have to judge for yourself.
WARNING: I just want everyone to know that I do not claim to be great at this! I'll do what I can, but I can't promise perfection. I myself make mistakes a lot of the time. But going through what I've written again always helps, and I know it helps ME (personally) even more when someone else revises for me.
For anyone who wants me to beta: know that there are certain pairings I will NOT do under any circumstances. I like realistic plots, but I still love humor. Just try and make it believable. And also don't be afraid of comedic relief. Angst stories are good, but after a while they get boring.
Also, know that I will take my time. I won't be at your beck-and-call. As long as you send me chapters regularly I will send them back regularly, but I have other commitments as well. School is a big thing for me, It probably won't take me more than a week tops to get back to you, but sometimes shit happens.
I probably WILL NOT share my personal information with you. Even if we become the best of internet-buddies, I won't ever tell you my name, my age, where I live, etc. We can talk about other things. I also don't expect anything from you.
