Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I tend to look for grammar, punctuation, spelling, phrasing, and the like. If the story is on a topic about which I am well-versed, I can offer some insight as to the accuracy of the story to the original, as well. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can correct both American and British spelling. I am very good at correcting grammar and punctuation errors. I tend to read from the perspective of a proof-reader. I speak German. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I cannot offer insights into emotions unless there are very obvious errors. It takes me a very long time to attribute correct emotions to situations for any characters. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I greatly prefer stories with original characters, though I am willing to read cannon pairings and the like. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I am uncomfortable reading anything slash. |
