Hello!I've been betaing for a while to various authors. I have a Bachelors in Creative Writing which I have used to my advantage in my own writing as well as in my beta reading. If you would like to ask for my assistance then please send me a message on here and if I accept then I will send you my e-mail address where you can send me your work, either in the e-mail itself or as an attachment. When I get it back to you I will do so in two documents. One will have all of my edits on it (I use the "Track Edits" feature on Word) as well as my comments, and then the next will be a cleaned up version of the first. It can be very difficult to read with red all over the page :P

I'm willing to help any way you want me to help with, including but not limited to grammar, spelling, writer's block, inconsistencies, development (both plot and character - though I leave that mostly up to you because it's your story and you know what you want to do with it), and the flow of sentences. I read many things aloud A LOT (from books to fanfiction to tumblr posts) so I know when something sounds right or not and am able to use that to help make things be more readable.

I work part time and will be going back to school in the Fall of 2016 so I may not be the fastest at getting my corrections back to you but I will try my hardest to get your stuff back to you as quickly as I can.

As genre goes, I don't have a distinct preference. I would prefer to beta stories based on fandoms that I am interested in, however I will read some stories not related to my preferred fandoms as long as I have a clue as to what the original movie/show/book is about. If I don't know much about the fandom you are writing about then I can pretty much only help you with grammatical and spelling stuff. I've updated my list of fandoms but I may have missed some things. So if you don't see it there please ask because you never know!

I will not beta slash, heavy sexual content ('they kissed passionately' is just fine as long as the scene ends there), and stories with heavy and excessive swearing, though the latter I am a bit more lenient with. I've gotten good at visually filtering out swearing :) If you are unsure whether your story fits these criteria then go ahead and send me your story and I will respond telling you whether or not it is okay. I'm pretty much okay with violence (except really weird and perverted stuff).
