So, speaking strictly professionally here, my preferred focus as a beta reader is plot, characterization, and theme. Here's where I typically like to do my analysis and advice giving. I am fully versed in grammar and spelling and am more than happy to point out any errors that may have slipped your notice, but by and large I kind of expect that you are fairly confident you have your grammar and spelling basically down. That's not too much to ask, is it?br /

I have a very firm grasp on plot and characterization, and pride myself in being able to help construct both of those. Story and sentence flow I both pay major attention to, and I have a penchant for calling out dialogue if I think "no normal human being would talk like this." I'm pretty good about spotting otherwise embarrassing little grammar mistakes. Any typos you miss, I'll probably /

I'm also a pretty likable person. People have a pretty easy time getting along with me. So that's a bonus! Right?

I try to pull my punches and be constructive, really, I do. Everything I say, I say with the best of intentions. That said, I can be blunt, and I once made an author crawl under a rock and cry, presumably to death. Their last words referenced the shredded remains of their soul. They were extremely immature, to be sure, but still. It happened. I did it. You were warned.

I would prefer to read fics from fandoms I'm well versed in, as I find that's where I can be of the most use, and I like feeling useful. I have no preference on length, but if it's shorter than 1k words it had better be either very good or a comedic one shot.

I won't read horror, lemons of any kind, and please, slapping on an "M" in the rating is not an excuse to have every character start spouting cuss words and other profanities left and right. Also, nothing about the water cycle, I'm DEAD SERIOUS.
