I've done some unofficial beta-reading in the past (from 2003-2005,) but I took a long break from fanfiction.net after my grandmother died. I'm 19 years old, in college for an Associate's in Computer Programming, and working part time. Please take this into account if I'm not always there to help you. I try to get on at least once a day but sometimes I just can't. I'll tell you if anything big does come up, I promise.

I really like to get to know the writers that I'm reading for, so I can take into account what they personally want for their writing. I'd prefer an IM over email or PM, so we can talk about my corrections in real-time.
I have no preferences as to the skill-level of my clients. As long as you will accept my help, I'll help you.

I am willing to try and look into a new fandom if you really want me to beta for it, as long as it doesn't cost me money to do so.

Grammar (note: not 'grammer,') spelling, and general typos. Mixed-up words, such as through for thorough, are a particular pet peeve of mine, and a common mistake. So if you have issues with that, I'll gladly help you.
I've also got a good eye for keeping characters in-character with fandoms that I'm familiar with.

I am only familiar with American English, so I might accidentally 'fix' something spelled correctly in British English. That's not to say I won't do British English, but just keep this in mind if I turn your 'favourite' into 'favorite.'

I'd prefer to beta for fandoms that I'm familiar with. I made a pretty big list, so that shouldn't be hard.
Other than that, we can chat briefly on a fandom-to-fandom basis. There's a few, for example, where I've only played one or two games out of a series, or a cartoon or anime where I missed an episode or two with a popular minor character.

I don't enjoy poetry all that much. Also, I refuse to beta-read 'lemons' through this service on the basis that they are not actually allowed at all on fanfiction.net.
