I'm a high-schooler, so of course there are better readers out there than myself, but I believe I can also develop MY English skills and help other author(ess)s with their stories. When I'm beta-reading, I usually read it through once quickly and see what I think THEN re-read slower and also take note of what I pick up from the second reading. Rest assured, I'll read the chapter/story through MANY times and try give out advice from there. br /br /

I hope that before you send me your story/chapter that you THOROUGHLY self-edit your work THREE times. It's what my Year 6 teacher always said, and it works quite well if you read it thoroughly enough. I hope that doesn't sound too demanding. I'd prefer an attachment emailed to me (Microsoft Word doc please!), however I don't have my email on my account so if you wish for me to beta-read please PM me first acquiring my email address. Hopefully that doesn't sound too demanding either. Also just note that I don't have a wide varitey in what I write, so please if you know it's an subject I'm unfamiliar in, please also define a small synopsis in the PM. br /br /

-Capitalization. I'm really big on proper nouns, I guess. br /br /

-Thesaurus. I'm quite well versed in synonyms that could add a spark to your fanfic~br /br /

-Spacing. I'm big on paragraphs and getting rid of unwanted space too, okay?br /br /

-Dialogue. Sometimes writing character speech can be difficult to understand, and I'll help you with that!br /br /

-Spelling. I'm not a spelling bee, but I read a lot. I haven't read the dictionary or anything, but just saying.br /br /

-Typos. Ohh, my computer did it. (Maybe the ONLY reason I pick up these little misfits is because of my RE-READING... but...)br /br /

-Punctuation. Oh, I love commas and full stops and quotation marks~ (sarcasm). But I don't love 'em that much that I over-use them!br /br /

I'm guessing those are my major strengths... so now onto weaknesses.

-Grammar. I always get those green lines under my sentences... but no-one says anything in reviews! Does that count as a weakness?br /br /

-Tense. "Go, goes, going, will go..." I'm kind of a sucker for this.br /br /

To be frank, I'm actually alright with every genre... but I'm a sucker for cheesy, fluffy romance fics. br /br /
