I am known to be a very challenging editor as I have the tendency to scrutinize every detail; even my own criticisms are edited till I am satisfied. I have an all encompassing view of the written word not seeing genres but rather a story, something that I would not always use to describe all written works. I expect that the anything I read will bring me into a world that only a writer can create. I, as a result, read a story and leave it alone for an hour or two before going in and fixing grammar and spelling first and then read it again to gain a feel for it. Despite that, a good story should withstand bad linguistics. Anyone can write, but only writers create.

I bring over a decade of experience of editing. Starting with poetry as a editor for a magazine in high school, I moved to short stories and short novels in college. I currently read as a hobby, do editing as a volunteer for several publishers, and help supposed wayward teens discover pen and paper. Also, I had studied French for over 6 years and can provide editing for phrases as well as provide some translating.

I can be a little long winded... see above for case in point. Also, my own works are not always exemplary of what I expect.

I do not usually turn anything down because "I do not like it".

None, but something I do not appreciate are people that ask for help but whimper at the first sign of criticism. I edit, not hold hands.
