I've never beta'd before per se but I'm helping a friend of mine on ff with her original story, which includes things like correcting spelling/grammar/punctuation mistakes. Also, I helped with suggestions of where to add/delete certain little things in a chapter to help make it flow. I've so far written one fanfiction for Vampire Academy. The ff is a Romance/Family but includes quite a bit of angst and violence by the end - I can be a sadist and don't like to sugar coat the violence. I suggest you check out my profile and stories I've favourited etc cos I'm sure that will give you a feel for the type of stories I read and would like to beta =)

I can spot spelling/grammar/punctuation mistakes. I'm an encouraging person - as long as the story is good and the author and story has a great idea and potential. I like authors with a great imagination but the story and relationships have to be realistic at the same time. If you have a tough time figuring out what to write next / have writer's block I'd like to think I have a decent imagination and I'm good with suggestions.

I can't promise to hand back the work straight away - by straight away I mean in like a day or two. Oh and...I don't think I'm necessarily good with coming up with funny scenes - I have a good sense of humour but I can't come up with funny quick witted lines on the spot.

I prefer romance stories and high school stories, like OOC/AH Twilight and Vampire Academy. I can do supernatural stories that include vampires and werewolves, but I also like all-human stories. I basically prefer the young-adult romance genre =)

Lemons! No, no and no! I'm not comfortable writing lemons so I can't help with those scenes. Though I do like supernatural/fantasy stories I don't like faeries and things of that nature. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan but I don't think I'll be good at beta-ing those fanfictions.
