Hey, my name is Mugatu. I've been a member of this site for over a year. I'm currently working on one major story right now, but who knows when I'll get it done. I enjoy reading fanfics, and have been an avid reader on this site for a while. Depending on what kind of mood I'm in, I'll betaread your stories rather quickly, or more slowly. Usually when I'm not bogged down in schoolwork or at my job I'll be right on top of betareading your stories. Sometimes I can be really on the ball, and sometimes I can be rather lazy ... it just depends on how my day is going. My expectations for those who send me stories are that they be respectful of me and my critiques and advice; they must be willing to accept criticism; they must be willing to work hard on their stories and conduct themselves professionally. I don't take nonsense, and if you are going to be disrespectful, you may want not want to waste your time with me.

Areas of beta reading/writing that I excel at are plots, characterizations, humor, etc. I like original plot ideas, and I am excellent with plot twists. I love writing stories where I lead you in one direction and then suddenly turn you 180 degrees. I have almost a knack for characterizations, so if you're having trouble capturing the "essence" of a character, or need advice as to what they would or wouldn't do in a situation, I'm your guy. I'm also good at humor - particularly situational or in dialogue. I also am good at character dialogue - I try to make conversations sound realistic to the characters. Spelling is another strength for me.

My weakness is romance. I enjoy romance stories, and I spice my own stories with it, but it's just not one of my greatest strengths. Another weakness is punctuation. Sometimes, I'll miss a comma, or a question mark. My grammar isn't always the best and I've noticed some trouble spots in my own stories.

My preferences are romance stories that involve unusual shippings. I also enjoy humorous stories. My favorite type of stories are adventure stories. I generally enjoy large, sweeping epics, where an unlikely hero is forced to face an impossible villian, culminating in an all-out final showdown. Any of those types of stories are fine by me. Continuation fics are good too. I also enjoy horror/mystery stories. Particularly stories that come from the whodunit angle. Trying to solve a mystery or find out who the killer is is great in my book.

Please, no rated M stories. I don't particularly enjoy reading about sex scenes. I don't enjoy stories about the mundane, every day lives of certain characters. I won't betaread oneshots or musicfics. Since I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, just let me know a bit about your story and I'll decide whether I want to read it or not.
