My name is Rigato. My expectation is that anyone who contacts me for beta-reading has at least a small understanding of the english language. I enjoy good story structure, thoughtful characters, and people who keep their characters as close to their literary/film representatives.I will usually read anything put in front of me, from engineering magazines to poetry.

My strengths are my extended vocubulary, knowledge of chemistry and science in general (so stories involving a scientific background would benefit from my advice in terms of subject accuracy), and skills in story building. I like to go off to a slow start, then build the story and the characters up as I go along. I also am fairly skilled in keeping characters true to who they are, as well as crack pairings. I am a huge history buff, specializing in World War II (Third Reich side, not the Allies).

Unfortunately, I do tend to write chapters off the top of my head, and if I don't keep steaming along on a story I can forget about it and never come back to it. My other weakness is forgetting tiny loopholes in the plot that are left like dropped stitches in a tapestry.

I love South Park stories, as well as Back to the Future. My favourite stories are crack pairings as well as some honored and established pairings (such as Kyle/Cartman and Doc/Marty). I am a sucker for romance as well as self-imposed writing challenges...they are a pleasure to read and to write. Writers who take the easy road may produce good writing, but a challenge is essential for phenomenal writing. I love drama and humor. I am familiar with the South Park, House MD, Back to the Future, Highlander, Stargate, Star Wars and Star Trek universes.

Anything heterosexual or Twilight. I do not like Alternate Universe stories, and I intensely dislike original characters when put into a Fan Fiction setting. They are not appropriate and rarely work, in my opinion. This is not to say I will not edit these types of stories, just keep in mind I would grade these on a higher curve than the stories I enjoy reading. If you give me an original character that does not fit in with the universe, I will ride your ass hard.
