I have helped correct minor mistakes, and given advice about how to use this website if there's something I know that someone else does not, and it would help them to understand. My style is to read through things casually first. It's then, more often than not, that I locate several of the glaring "Boo-boo's" that make an otherwise enjoyable work, flawed.
If I have any expectations of the writers I'm willing to work with, those are; 1 They are willing to learn about the small mistakes they make, and reduce them more effeciently on their own. And 2 Have a good sense of humor about it.
I'm not always nice when I make jokes about some things, but I will try to encourage the positive thinking that helps keep minor things like "writer's block" at bay. I don't personally believe there is such a thing as writer's block, but that's because it helps me to keep writing at my own pace, in comfort that I'm really thinking about what I want to write.
For those who want me to be their beta, in return, they can expect; A *relatively* open mind, (Sorry, I'm a stubborn Aquarius...) Thoughtful annalisis of their stories to improve flowing structure, (If I should ever say that they need to throw it out and rewrite the whole thing... Unlikely.) And they can expect patience while they take their time to write.
I am not a professional editor/producer: I will never ask for the ones I'll serve as beta, to write faster than they feel comfortable writing.
In that regard, I expect to have as much fun as the Authors/Authoress' I will work with here on ffn.
