Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Well let's get this straight, I'm no expert writer and I'm not robot, so don't expect me to always be in the best of moods when you come to me for help, but I'll gladly help you at any time, sounds ironic huh? Well, who cares? As a beta-reader, I've never had experience, but I have helped edit other people's essays in school, so if that counts, try me out, and we together can see if it works. Betareading style, same thing, NO EXPERIENCE, but I'll be happy to help. As for expectations, I've already said, don't expect me to be available or in the best of moods when you want me to edit your writing, oh and one more thing, if you don't like my advice, don't be inconsiderate because well I have other things to do besides editing people's writing, and so actually me choosing editting over any other thing make you special so appreciate it. *IF THAT SOUNDED TOO MEAN, THEN I'M SINCERELY SORRY OF OFFENDING YOU* |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My Strengths huh? Well I know I'm good at thinking up ideas, and so if you need help with any of that, give me what you want and a week, and I'll give you an idea before that time ends. How does that sound? Hmm...what else? Oh, I'll give you suggestions, nothing you must do since I never edit my own writing, or ask for anyone to edit it. Other strengths well I'll think about it more. Oh, one more, ways to encorporate things into a story, if that's a problem, I'm a master at that. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Grammar isn't that strong, but I'm okay. Writing... that's very broad, but if you come to me asking for me to write you a sample chapter, that'll take a long time, and I may not be able to do it, though I will try to help. I've never had experience, so yeah, I guess I'm not too sure of my weaknesses and strengths yet. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Stories that have a set plot. Not that no plot stories are bad, just my question, "What's the point in writing something that doesn't have a point to it?" And, preferably stories related to stories I know and write about which would include, Harry Potter, 39 clues, Vampire Knight, Fruits Basket, Maximum Ride, and Twilight. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Don't give me something you don't even like when you read it. Give me a beginning, or give me the middle, or even part of the middle, but don't give me something you don't even like yourself. And don't give me something that isn't already started to be developed. No plain ideas either please! |
