Honestly, what I beta will probably be a lot on case-by-case basis. I'm not going to beta a story that the whole idea just turns me off or I don't know enough about the basis. If I reject your story it's nothing against you, I just think you'd be better off finding a beta who will either know more about what you're writing or appreciate it more. I allow things from all books and all plays/musicals because I've read and seen a lot more books and shows than are listed, but if I haven't read the book or seen the show then I won't beta the fic. It wouldn't really be fair would it? Or if I didn't like the book or can't remember anything about it. If it's listed on the site & it's not on my list than I don't want fics about it either. I'm kind of dubious about songfics, dosn't mean I won't beta them though. But probably don't know the song. When a main character really belongs with someone, I generally like them to stay with that someone. There are exceptions. I read Harry/Draco And Draco/Hermione stuff. I'm also more adventurous in what I'll accept for HP fics than for other things. Please do read over your own work before you send it to me. I know as an author that un-proofed writing can have some weird stuff in it. If you want you can check out my stories to see my writing style. I am my own Beta as well.

When you send me your stuff tell me if you just want me to look for spelling and grammar or if you want help with phrasing or ideas or whatever.

I have an eye for those things that are not concrete rules of grammar but just makes things fit/sound/flow/work better. I have a large vocabulary and I read a lot so I have background comprehension knowlege, if that makes sense. I also can put myself into the head of a character really easily, so I can help with characterization/see if the characterization works.

I can't spell, but that's what spell check is for. I read fast and my brain will sometimes automatically correct little typos without me realizing it. I am not the best with plot development, though I'm trying to get better.

First, foremost, and mostly Harry Potter. That's the majority of fanfic I read. I read some Artemis Fowl and I've read a few Wicked, but really I'm mostly a HP fanfic gal. Though I am willing to beta other things. I especially like Albus Severus/Scorpius fics, or really most next gen. I like Harry & Severus (non-slash) stuff too. I'm a sucker for sicficsbr Please have good characters. I love characters.

Again really I'm open to try a lot of stuff, but it's a case-by-case basis thing too.

Cross generational romances. I can do the creepy abuse stuff and some pretty dark subjects but the consentual cross-generaltional romances I won't do. Might sound messed up, but whatever.

Things that mess unnecesarrily with canon. If the messing with canon pertains to the point of the fic, fine, but not just arbitrary stuff, especially having characters completely OOC.

Things that totally hate on Dumbledore or the Weasleys. Or really any other character that isn't supposed to be an evil git.

Crossovers. They weird me out.

Anything to do with that stupid battle between HP & Twilight. They can coexist people, honestly.

Most completle spoofs probably not.

I'll do any content level, but I want a plot & characterization to go along with any M stuff, not just graphic whatever.

There are other things that I'll probably reject. Again, nothiing personal, you deserve a beta who'll appreciate the substance of your writing.
