I've never been an official beta-er before, but I have a good idea of what to do. I mainly look for grammatical and spelling mistakes that can take a reader out of an otherwise great story, and do not like to make too many suggestions for style/ plot changes unless asked. If asked, I'll be glad to help with anything I can though!

I'm excited to read many new stories and authors, so please don't hesitate to message me if you need some help!

My strong suit is likely grammar and structure, as lame as that is. I can spot grammar and spelling errors from a mile away (usually), and I have a good head for effective conveyance of certain feelings, if that makes sense. At least, I hope I do.

My weakness as a writer is likely that I have a hard time filling out chapters with anything more than the bare essentials of what I need to say. I really need to learn how to better flesh out my chapters, without having just pointless fluff that would get the reader bored quickly. Also, is a weakness that I worry too much about punctuation and grammar?

I would really prefer to beta fandoms that I am a part of, especially Yu-Gi-Oh. I don't have to have written a story for it, per se, but I feel it's better for both the author and I if I have seen/read the base for the fanfiction I am beta-ing. Then, not only will I be more passionate about editing the work, but I'll have a better feel for what kind of audience the work is geared toward. I'll beta pretty much anything, if you ask nicely enough.

There are certain types of characters I really dislike, but whether my dislike for them would prevent me from reading and checking a story depends on the fandom/story. Very likely, it will not, but if you are sending me a Yu-Gi-Oh story, I respond better to slash pairings than anything.
