Hello, I'm ShiAnne and I'm a high-school student who loves writing and reading! I've been a writer for a few years and I attend a creative and performing arts school, my major being Creative Writing itself. As a writer myself, I love the craft of it and improving my works and helping others improve theirs. Everyone has a different writing style and I love that so much! At the same time, it's super important that as a writer one is able to not be "married" to their work. In other words, be able to openly accept constructive criticism about any and all pieces written. As a beta-reader, I like to reread things multiple times before starting to correct and give suggestions.

My style of writing is very emotional and descriptive. So when reading pieces it's easier for me to assume the overall purpose and tone of what is written. I'm also really good at noticing punctuation errors and spelling errors; they stick out like red ink on a black book to me. And finally I love descriptions and imagery a lot, so when I'm reading a piece I like to expect that I can see the where it is and what the characters are doing. When I write my creative nonfiction pieces my style is more self-deprecating comedy so I do have lots of experience with comedy writing.

One thing I know I'm not the best at is grammatical things and sentence structure. The more technical things I don't notice immediately so that's also another reason why I like to reread pieces a lot.

Ahh I love romance, comedy and interactive stories! Stories that have original characters casted in are so much fun to read and write because it gives the writer a chance to really be creative! I would like to beta most of the stories that I have posted I read in my bio and probably tv shows and books I'm actually interested in.

I don't have a lot of experience with Suspense and Horror genres, so I can't say that I'm the best at it! Especially horror, I had to write a horror piece my freshman year of high-school and it didn't turn out too well, haha. I haven't written one since. I would prefer to beta stories I'm familiar with. I.e- I've never watched or read Harry Potter, so if I were to read a Harry Potter piece it would be such a struggle because I'm not familiar with certain things.
