My main goal as a beta-reader is to help an author create a great story that will entertain their readers. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am a great proofreader, and I try to have an eye for realism in character and situations, regardless of whether or not you want an OOC character. I try to make sure there is consistency in story in all things: mood, character, and plot. My genre strengths are romance, comedy, fantasy, and angst, although I can beta-read any genre except those listed in weaknesses. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a very strong voice, and although I try to avoid completely re-writing a person's vision, sometimes it make come across like I am trying to do so. My weak genres are poetry, spiritual, and westerns. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I prefer to beta-read longer stories that build up over time and have an intricate plot. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I would rather not beta-read oneshots and songfics, unless you are just looking for a proofreader. |
