Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Im not going to be perfect at profection, but the old saying, nobodys perfet and that would go with 100% perfect writing, but I will try my best and give it my best effort. I will not completly change your chapter, I will just tweak it here and there. Better words, commas, capitols, all the basic stuff, plus other things I would think it might need. For examlpe, a little more detail, whatevers needed. And whatever you prefer. It's your story, so I respect that, much like how I want people to respect my work. Writing takes effort and skill and one that isn't the best I would love to help them improve. I'm not saying I will take your work and re-write my way as everyone writes differently. I write in one main style, first person, but every once in a while I will throw in a 3rd person POV. I love to read anything, really, but I usually like helping first time writes out. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I would say I have good reading skills. I may not be the fastes reader, but I take my time and find most mistakes, but not all. Im also not bad at telling people the truth about their chapter or writing. I will have a say like, I dont really like 3rd persons POV, but I wont mind reading, I just prefer not to. Or if you had a lot of mistakes, I will tell you that you might want to read read it next time. I would critize your writing and say that it was the worst thing I ever read. No, Im not that kind of person. But I will say where I think you should try and improve. Nothing is ever bad, just needs improving. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a few weaknesses, but they can be improved and are improving as im on this site. I am not the greatest speller, but that what they have spell check for, right? If I dont know how to spell a certain word I will think and I cant come up with it, I ask someone. If that doesnt work then I skip it and come back to it and most of the time I remeber how to spell it. Also if Im not intersted in what I read my mind tends to wonder and I lose track, but most fanfics I read Im interested in and that rarly happens. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love anything thats humor. (K-M) I will read anything, but perfer House of Night, Twilight, The Hunger Games, The Host, Blue Bloods, Maximum Ride. Well thats just books. I might read Sponge Bob, iCarly, Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Suite Life on Deck... The list will expaned but thats I can think of right now. I will read any type of story all the way to M but a certain one. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I will not do any Romance that is rated M. Im sorry but that is just plain old desterbing. Nuff said. :) |
