Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a person who loves to write and loves to help people, so helping people write or get better at writing is right up my alley. I have placed in statewide competitions that involve writing, so I guess that makes me a fairly good writer... but anyways, I can really do anything. I really don't mind beta-reading any kind of story, but I'm not a fairy, so I can't turn a story with a bunch spelling/grammatical errors (or a story where the author really, really didn't try) into a published book. So please, don't expect that from me. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm fairly good with helping people with writers block, or helping them with plot-lines, so if you're stuck in your story, I can help! (hopefully). But anyways, I really like writing, so I will try to help anyone with their story, as long as they have tried first. And what I mean by that is I can help people who have tried their hardest to make the story work to their best ability. But as I said in my bio, I'm not a fairy, so I can't help people who don't try. |

Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Sorry that this is all a mess, FF.N won't let me use the enter key without screwing up... I can't speak any other language besides English (I can speak a little Spanish, but I failed Spanish 4... so I kinda suck...), so I would like stories to be in English. I really like anime and manga, so I would prefer to beta those kind of stories, but more specifically, the ones that I have read/watched. I also have read a TON of books, so just PM me if you want to know what books I've read... Also, I'm fine with yaoi, yuri, hetero, smut scenes or whatever, so if you have a story like that, it's okay with me! Here are some of the animes/mangas that I have started/finished: Elfen Lied, Death Note, Bleach (up to right before the end of the hollow arc), Code Geass (my favorite anime ever), Soul Eater (I just finished this one and I LOVED it!), Free! Iwatobi Swim Club (loved this anime!), Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin (watched the entire anime and I am now reading the manga), Watamote, and Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi. I also write mainly futuristic, sci-fi, utopia/dystopia, apocalyptic, or fantasy stories, so I'm probably best at beta-ing those. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I really don't care about what type of stories I'll beta-read for. I would prefer to not beta super scary stuff (because I'm a total sissy), but that's just me. Otherwise, I'll try to beta-read anything... As I said before, I would prefer to beta stories that I know where it came from originally, but I can try to do anything :) |
