I strive to be prompt in my responses and because I'm a student who's currently on summer vacation, you can expect a response within a couple days. (I will always notify you, if I'm going to be away from my computer more than a day or two). My focus is on the mechanics of the story, and I don't make suggestions to plot lines or characters unless specifically asked. I figure its YOUR story, you wrote it the way YOU wanted to and my job's just to edit, not to cramp your style. Also, I only beta stories that I've read/watched. I don't feel qualified to beta characters I'm unfamiliar with.

I'm very conscious of the way a story flows, if there's a rough spot where the writing breaks down a bit, I can be expected to notice. I'm usually pretty good at picking up on grammatical mistakes, and can definitely make suggestions about sentence variety if something becomes too repetitive.

It's really hard for me to make a criticism (even when it's just constructive), if someone slips OOC, I may not bring it to the writer's attention unless asked directly to do so. I'm also a HORRIBLE speller - but that's what spell-checks for. XD

I prefer Yaoi pairings to Yuri or het, but I'll beta any of them. I'm also not big into AU, but am still willing to beta them. I prefer something with Romance, but I'm open to just about everything.
