Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a perfectionist, to say the least. I have a profound love for literature in all forms, and I adore correcting. My style of betareading will most likely reflect my style of writing, although I will keep any parts of your story the same that you ask me to. Before accepting your request, I may ask you questions about where you plan to go with your story, and what it's all about. This will assist me in making my decision. |

I am a thoughtful individual, so I will typically have insight and feedback for nearly every scenario. I excel at thinking on my feet and identifying grammar and spelling errors. I'm also a problem solver, and I give good advice. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am somewhat of a critic, although I try not to be. That being said, I am quite friendly, and will be gentle and attentive to your needs as an author. I may not catch every spelling mistake, and I am not necessarily punctual on exchanges... Please have patience with me. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
If possible, I would prefer to beta stories written from series' that I am familiar with; these being: Death Note, Tegami Bachi, InuYasha, Black Cat, Harry Potter, Kuroshitsuji, most novels by Poppy Z. Brite, Loveless, Code Geass, Vocaloid, Junjou Romantica, Naruto, Gravitation, Nabari no Ou, Kyou Kara Maoh, Pandora Hearts, Yu Yu Hakusho, Pokemon, Okane ga Nai, Sensitive Pornograph, Ai no Kusabi, and several others. If you're curious about a series you have written a fic for which is not on the aforementioned list and would like me to beta for you, please ask. C: |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
If possible, I would like to stay away from Yuri fics. I'm a Yaoi fangirl, so Yaoi or Shonen-ai is fine with me, but I don't have an appreciation for Yuri. I also accept straight pairings. I dislike Pokephilia, but I'll edit it if you make the request. All story ratings are acceptable, although I may shy away from extremely gruesome or explicit fics. PWP is awkward for me to beta, but I'll still do it (again, with a request). Seeing as I speak English, I will only be able to beta stories written in English. Incest is rarely accepted... If anything else comes up which I have not mentioned, I'll be sure to let you know. ;D |
