I am patient, and will help a young writer along, especially with outlining, and organizing a story. I offer ideas, constructive criticism, and can make grammar/ spelling/ style suggestions.

As a beta-reader, I feel like my special talents include helping young authors organize and plan their stories, improving readability, and grammar/ spelling checking. I am especially adept with descriptive writing, and in the first person. I will never return a submission with, "Wow, great fic, plz write more!" That kind of feedback is for reviews, not beta reading. If you take the time to write something and send it to me, I will respect that by reading it, and making the best constructive criticisms, comments, encouragement, and (where earned) praise that I am capable of making.

Writing dialogue is my greatest weakness as a writer.

I am willing to beta any type of writing, so long as the author is serious about their work. I believe that if a story is strong enough, only passing familarity with the source material is necessary.

I am not a big fan of "just for fun" scribbles. If you aren't serious enough about your story to put time and energy into making it the best story you can turn out, I'm probably not the beta reader you want. Having said that, I will read any submission, but if you are a "scribbler", you may be unhappy with the ugly red scribbles that you get back!
