Eh...as a beta-reader, I am a person who dislikes 'who you are' questions.

Other than that, I am patient, polite and honest - and I will expect the same from you. I tend to focus on the plot, and character development; of course, I'll correct spelling mistakes or strange grammar if I run across it. However, a word of warning - if bad spelling, random capitalization, misuse of punctuation and grammar mistakes are endemic, I will stay away from the piece. If one cannot spell, one cannot be a creative writer, it is just as simple as that.

My beta bandwidth will vary from week to week, according to my work schedule, but you can expect me to do a 4k word chapter every two or three days. I tend to comment in detail, and do text mark-ups; I take my own writing seriously, and I will take your writing as seriously as you do. I prefer long chapters to short ones, as it gives me a better idea of continuity.

Eh, I am patient and thorough, I think I have solid grammar skills, and while I will look for consistency throughout your plot and character development, I won't push my views on you. It has also been reported that I have a sense of humor. I am sure this is denigrator's claptrap.

Uhm, I am honest. If it sux, I will tell you it sux - granted, in a polite way. I have manic attention to detail, so you will sometimes need to tell me what I should ignore. I am a bit pedantic and I hope that anyone looking for a beta is actively looking to improve; as such, arguments like 'I am only writing this for fun' tend to transform me into a five headed dragon. Writing is fun; mocking it isn't.

Not really. As long as your grammar is good and you're willing to improve, you can hit me with any type of story of any rating...would rather prefer mature themes to kiddie stuff though.

I probably will not do, eh, crack? If crack is 'taking the piss and making everyone OOC', I won't do it. The reason why you fanfic is because you liked the character in the first place - making them OOC removes the premise.
