Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hello there! Aya at your service!I'm currently on vacation from school right now so I thought that helping out would be fun since I have nothing else to do at home. I'm still a high school student but I am particular when it comes to grammar and spelling. I do not promise a 100% no-error story but be sure that I will try my best. If you wish to ask for my help, I'd be glad to. Just PM me and tell me what story you would want me to beta-read. Please also state your weaknesses in writing so I would know where to focus.I'm sorry if I would not be able to grant all requests. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am very keen when it comes to grammar, sentence structures, choice of words and spelling. Punctuations are important for me too since wrong punctuations may lead to confusion.
I also make sure that all events in my plot are connected and necessary so expect that I will check on it too. I do not mind OUT OF CHARACTERS at all as long as you still keep some of the major character traits of the character. Personally, I also make the characters a bit different from their real selves. Example, Sasuke is cold, popular and handsome but he falls in love with Sakura so he decided to confess. The latter part was so not Sasuke but the very idea of him being cold is still there so it will be alright. Still, for me, anything will do. It's your story so you can do anything you want with the characters. This is fanfiction anyway. :) |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My carelessness.
When I write stories, I think, I type, I post. I do not even bother to reread my story so whenever I get a chance to read it after I have posted it, just then will I notice the plenty mistakes I made. That's pretty much it. Don't worry, it's different when you write and when you read.Honestly, sometimes I forget th basics too. I would have to reread it again before I notice the mistake. Still, I will try my very best! |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
ROMANCE among the characters I like. Example, SasuSaku fics, NaruHina fics etc. Those stories would be the kind of stories I am most interested in but I will also accept other kinds of stories as long as I know even just a little thing about the anime/manga etc.My most preferred manga/anime's are: Naruto, Gakuen Alice, Ouran High School Host Club, Special A, Bokura Ga ita, Suzuka, La Corda D'oro, Zettai Kareshi, Vampire Knight, Cardcaptor Sakura/Tsubasa Chronicles, Super Gals, Prince of Tennis, Kitchen Princess (*I think I forgot to add some of my favorites so just PM me and tell me the anime/manga and I'll reply if I know it or not.)
For video games, Final Fantasy VII,VIII,X/X-2,XIII,versusXIII would be best! |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Yaoi, yuri and SasuKarin are really not my thing, sorry. Nothing can change my mind :) I also can't stand reading TOO DETAILED lemons. You know what I mean.
I don't think I can beta-read stories that came from a category I do not know.
Besides those I have already mentioned, I think I'm willing to try reading the others. |
