I guess you will want to know a little about me and what it is that I can do for you. I'll start off with something simple, like the fact that my name is Jenn. This will be my first go at Beta reading but please don't hold that against me. I think that just having a second pair of eyes look over your writing can help regardless of that person’s skill. They can look at things from a different point of view and where things might have made sense to you it might not to your audience. Remember you already know why your characters are doing what they are. Truth be told, I feel like I enjoy reading other peoples work more than I like writing my own. I am such a perfectionist that it takes me about a month to finish just one chapter. I tend to almost always find at least one, if not more, mistake in peoples writing. It always bothered me that I couldn't Beta read to help them out. I eventually got 6000 words in my own story just so I could!

I am usually quick to see the flaw of a plot if there is one. If character A does something in the second chapter and then contradicts that in chapter eight then I usually see it. The farther spread out the story is though the harder it becomes to see the finer details. I’m also a stickler when it comes to using the correct form of a word: there, they’re, are, our, etc. I still struggle with then and than from time to time though. I’m also pretty good with spelling. I used to be really bad but I have improved so much in the last two years!
Depending on when you get your story to me, I should have it back to you in about a day. If you send it in the middle of the night then I obviously wouldn’t expect to get to it until later. If you send it in the morning then you will probably get it back by that night.

My biggest weakness is definitely punctuation. I struggle most with commas. I always either put in too many or not enough commas. In addition, when dashes especially and sometimes colons and semicolons get involved I start to get confused. I would sooner reword the sentence than deal with the problem if I could.

I read mostly Twilight fanfictions but I’m willing to branch out. If you need something Beta read then just ask. The worst that will happen is that I say no. I’ll read any content rating K-M as well. If a story is well written then I really don’t have an issue with M content. Really I’ll read just about anything. I’ve read some extreme OOC, intense M content, parody, comedy, horror, major angst and so many other things. I like to see people be creative, I mean isn’t that the whole point.
Also, if you don't see your story in the stories that I have in my Category Preference then don't worry too much about it. That was just kind of a general idea of what I know most about. If your plot doesn't depend solely on the history of the story then by all means send me something I've never heard of before. Well ask first, but then send it. :)

The only thing that I really don’t care all that much for is anime. I’ve tried watching it and reading it and I must say it really just is not my thing. Now that I think of it there is one other thing I just can’t really seem to get into and that's song-fics. Please don’t ask me to read them. If it’s like one chapter in the middle of a great story then ok maybe but if that’s all you have then please save us both the time.
