I would have to say most of my attention goes to flow and sentence structure. For example, if a word feels out of place, I'll switch it around or get rid of it, or if a character picks up something that wasn't originally there, I'll suggest slipping it in casually beforehand. Of course I'll edit for grammar and spelling, too. :) My only expectation is that I'm not asked to edit something that is compeltely slack, as if a kindergartener had written it, because that's a waste of both of our time. Then again, if you pay so little attention to your writing, you probably won't be looking for a beta in the first place.

Flow and diction are my forte. My thesaurus is my best friend, and I love using it. I've got a fairly organized mind, so checking for continuity comes naturally to me, as does fixing any problems with it.

A weakness of mine is spelling, but only if it's something minor, like leaving out one letter, or switching two letters. Also poetry. Poetry is great, but I'm rubbish at it. You're better off with someone else.

I don't really have any preferences, except that I'm mostly a fan of the book section, and poetry and I don't get along. I will read slash, if I must, and fluff is always welcome. Bring it all on!

So long as you attempted to write a decent story, it's in-character, and interesting, I'm willing to give it a try.
