As a beta reader, I strive for as near perfection as I can get. I'm not the BEST person for little grammar technicalities and punctuation, but I have a mother that's a grammar teacher, so I'm not completely bereft either. When I edit for you, it's not just me telling you what to do and expecting it done. I will go through every edit I make and explain it to you, if you so desired. My goal is not to make merely your story wonderful, but to help fashion you into a good author as well. (You really should be paying me for this. It's like a free tutoring service :P)

Not to blow my own horn, but I'm a decent author. As an avid devourer of books,, I have a general idea of what makes a story a captivating read. I also have a very wide vocabulary (unfortunatly my friends caught me reading the dictionary once) and can help with word choices and how do make your sentences clear. I can usually spell things well too. (floccinaucinihilipilification for instance. yes, a real word. look it up.)

My grammar and typing mistakes crop up in my writing so if you want to have someone find them for you, that is not for me. That's why you have two eyes and hands. Also, when I'm editing, I tend to be blunt. (My friends tell me that I put my foot in my mouth more often than should be healthy for anyone.) However, what I say will usually end up being 100% true, so it's good advice. :D

I will read Mary Sues, but only if the characters are believable to a certain extent. I like happy endings and a good adventure/humor always puts me in a good mood. :D
