Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
My name is Yohaly, 25 years old. I have been beta-reading and editing for quite a while, though, not for this site. In total, it would make around 10 years. br /br /br / br /br / br / I like to give my opinions rather bluntly, even though I try to agree and understand what the author wants. /br / br / br /br / br / I am very strict when it comes to spelling and grammar. I read everything at least twice and then start editing. br /br / br / br /br / br / I use the tool "Record" to show what I've changed. I like editing works and do not mind at all what style the work is in, or how "bad" it may be. English is not my mother tongue, but I have studied it since I was five years old. I also know Spanish(mother language), little Chinese/German/Japanese. I mainly use gmail to communicate. An attached document should be fine. I don't have a word limit but if this is indeed the case, it should be separated into paragraphs and not clumped together. br /br / br / br /br / br / Everything else besides spelling and grammar, like flow, characterization and so forth can be discussed and agreed upon. I'm more focused on spelling, grammar and sentence structure. I have only taken one writing class, but was endlessly tormented into have perfect grammar and spelling without the use of any tools. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm somewhat ashamed to admit it, but I avoid reading/writing any kind of stories that focused on a heterosexual relationship. Side-pairings are fine. I am very blunt and I have been accused of being a little bit too honest and harsh critic. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Any kind of mlm, forbidden relationship and so on. Wlw is fine too. One-shots or chaptered. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Rape of any kind or non-con. Extreme shota, gore, and squick things. |
