I am a newbie beta-reader(I proofread my own stuff, but that doesn't really count, does it...). I usually try to locate the errors that really take away/distract from what you may want to say, as those things sometimes distract me when I read them. My reading-style is therefore probably a somewhat nit-picky (I ask for your patience and forgiveness!).br /

I am on the more 'conservative' side when it comes to language...unless it's really part of the character, but even then it kind of depends...My beta-reading style would probably involve some exchange through PM (though I'm not sure how it works exactly) so I can try to make some suggestions. I like the way you can infuse multiple meanings in a phrase by word-play, so I try to do that. I like to try to paint a descriptive yet engaging story using words. I like to check for the general flow of the story, than specific wording. I like descriptions...

my grammar is not always the best, though I try to capture the meaning in the best way I can. I can be a bit nit-picky (I apologize in advance for that!)I am on the conservative side of coarse language in my writing. I tend to over think things also at times, so feel free to tell me that I'm putting too much thought into it/not enough. The over-thinking part leads to one of my MAJOR WEAKNESSES which is that I AM A BIT SLOW in my editing/writing depending...speed releases are somewhat of a rarity, though they do occur, but I am not the fastest beta-reader/writer out there, I'm sure.

I'd like to beta-read yuri/shoujo-ai with 'happy endings' though I'm also willing to beta those that aren't. I'm kind of a sappy romantic deep deep DEEP inside, so I like reading things like romance, friendship, humor, family, comfort, etc with other elements like drama, adventure, supernatural, etc. mixed in just as much as I like to write them. Fics with some semblance of plot or at least some emotion (like straight smut is okay but some emotion would be nice...)

I'd rather not read tragedy, rape, straight intercourse or anything of that nature (I'd really rather not unless it somehow really helps the story plot...but still...). I'm a naive sappy romantic on the inside...I'd rather not read protagonist character death...unless they come back to life?
