I suppose I can be a little harsh as an editor (with grammatical and spelling errors, sentence flow, vocabulary, etc) but in terms of ideas, I'm very encouraging, having had some lovely people in my life who encouraged me. I expect that anyone who wants me to betaread their work has enough pride in it to go over it themselves at least once before sending it off to me. As a writer, I tend to go heavy on the dialogue and character development rather than physical description, so anyone with a similar problem may not be a good fit.

I'm a strong speller and good at getting sentences to flow well, whether or not they're technically incorrect.

I'm not always the best at communicating why I think a change is an improvement or necessary. I also lean pretty heavily on adverbs sometimes.

I love a story that makes me laugh. I like morally gray characters that make me think. Character development in general, I suppose.

I'd prefer not to read stories heavily geared towards setting.
