I enjoy reading others' work and I want to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable reading experience. I have a very careful and attentive eye and I will be critical when I need to be. I like when stories run smoothly and anyone who wants my service can expect to have me make sure that their work is well-written and easy to understand so that they will profit from the experience. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am good at making sure plot lines run smoothly and being able to offer suggestions on how to better transition from one scene to another. My greatest strength at writing is characterization! This is my very best area and I excell at it. I am also a VERY good judge of grammer and spelling (my friends are always telling me to stop correcting these 2 things). I have a very logical brain that can rap around a great deal of things. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I may try to be a control freak...but I promise to refrain from making any changes to alter the very fabric of someone else's work. Sometimes, I tend to, in my own writing, cut to the chase and not go into detail describing the setting, but I admire anyone who can do so effectively. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love fantasy and drama. I am also a published poet. I love to read totally depressing things sometimes. Romantic stories too. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I'm not so good at the slasher/thriller things. Anything with perfusive swearing or ANY sexual descriptions of any kind are not for me. No yaoi/yuri please. |
