Hey, I'm MagicCandyCat, or Candy for short. Just so you know, I love to read fanfictions. I'll read almost anything you throw at me to beta read. My style? I will sit and read, and make notes as I go through, then get back to you with anything I came up with :) I will NOT be mean. I hate it when you ask someone, "Could you help me to make this better?" and they look at it, then badmouth you, saying it was rubbish, why on earth are you writing, you gather what I mean. I promise you that I will not be horrible. I will say what little things came to my attention, then suggest how to rectify it. Only one thing I mainly ask if, after looking through, you want me to beta read. Do NOT give me a story that is in chat language. Please, it's my pet hate. If you ask me to beta, and it's in chat language, I will send you back a message outlining that chat speak is not a good idea for a fanfiction, which, I'm sorry, is a waste of both our times. (oops, that sounded nasty, sorry) I look forward to beta reading! :D

My biggest strengths are romance fanfictions and humour. I usually write that type of thing myself, so I can give some little pointers there :D Some people may not do this (I don't really know...) but I'm all for reading fanfictions with OCs. I love getting to know a new character! So don't hesitate to send a fanfiction, if it has an OC or not!

My main weakness is that I have not seen/read all of some of the anime/manga series that I have agreed to read. I know what happens, so I can still beta, but if your fanfiction is based on an event that is a lot later in the series, I may tell you I don't follow what's going on. If this is the case, don't worry about it :)
Also, I don't like yuri fanfictions. I'm alright with yaoi, but yuri, I'm not the beta for you.

As they are my strengths, my preferred types of story are romance and humour. I would also prefer a story that is using well known characters or an OC. If they were minor characters, I might not be able to remember who it was...
I'm also all for yaoi/shonen-ai, so send me them too :) Even if it is a pairing I don't like

Please, no yuri. Or horror. Or things that may disturb me. And I'm not against them, but no songfics please. I like them, but I'd end up ignoring the song lyrics.
