I am first and foremost a writer, but I enjoy giving people lengthly analysis and criticism of their work. I don't actively search fics to Beta, however am happy to provide my services. I prefer to conduct exchanges over e-mail. I give lengthly feedback and am a stickler for grammar!

I am happy to read over oneshots and chaptered fics, and generally give my feedback in Word (highlighting, adding corrections or criticisms in red as I go along, adding suggestions in green, compliments in purple, etc, as well as a detailed summary of my likes and suggestions for the chapter at the top. I don't beta read often, so when I do I like to do a good job. I'm happy to work in conjunction with other Beta readers.

I am good at helping writers keep continuity in characterization, and also at balancing descriptive text with dialogue, etc. I'm also good at spotting OOC moments and helping to rectify them if an author particularly wants to follow a storyline that requires it. My feedback is long and detailed and I'm happy to discuss any aspect of people's fics - I can give as much or as little advice as required. I like to build a rapport with authors I beta for which is why I generally like to get to know them as a person as well.

I wouldn't say I have any specific weaknesses: I'm generally an all-rounder.

Harry Potter, Garth Nix, Tamora Pierce, Twilight, Stravaganti, Gossip Girl, most Disney/Fairy Tales/Well known films etc.
I enjoy comedy, romance, angst, parody, fantasy and adventure. My only real limitation is I refuse to Beta fics for books/films I haven't read or seen - but that really goes without saying. I also refuse to Beta fics I find tasteless or offensive (I'm open-minded, but there are lines even I won't cross!)

I'm not the best at analysing extremely M-rated fics (I'll do a sex scene, but much beyond that tends to get awkward). I detest poetry, and also hate song-fics (no offense - I'm sure there are some that are fantastic...)
