I have always had a love for writing, but my experience with fanfic is pretty recent. My love for it has rapidly grown, however! I have edited for friends (non-fanfic) and I am generally skilled with general word flow and grammar. Whether you request a specific critique or just want some overall opinions/pointers, I'll be happy to help.

My focus when reading someone else's story is usually centered around the overall quality and readability - is it interesting, is the dialogue well-structured, are the characters believable/well-described, etc. but I am perfectly fine with just doing a technical review as well if anyone prefers. Sentence structure and grammar are no problem for me, and catching spelling errors comes pretty naturally to me as well (I make dumb mistakes a times though, I'll admit).

I do have a hard time thoroughly critiquing something if it just isn't grabbing my interest. My focus and attention span starts to melt away. If I have already agreed to beta a specific piece however, I will still do my best. As a writer, I'd say one of my weaknesses is action scenes. I struggle to describe them satisfactorily, in my opinion. I definitely do not mind reading them though.

I absolutely love Labyrinth fanfic - specifically J/S pairing. Lemons are very welcome - they keep things spicy and intriguing! I also am a big fan of the Marvel Universe, especially anything to do with Loki. Fantasies will always be my preference - ex: LOTR, Harry Potter, Twilight, Legend. I would prefer the story be something I am familiar with, so feel free to PM me and ask about it if I didn't mention your fandom.

I won't be interested in many OC main characters (especially the Mary Sue types), and I probably will not read anything too kid-ish. I'm also not into out-there pairings that are just not remotely canon, but that only if it's to the extreme (like Hoggle and Sarah's stepdad or some craziness). I am not overly fond of crossovers, but if a specific one seems plausible and I think you make it work, I could change my mind.
