If you want me to be a beta-reader, know that I expect you to communicate with me and tell me if you have a problem. I also will probably make some content changes to the work as well, because that's just the way I do things. I don't just proofread for grammar. I will offer an honest opinion as well, so if you're easily offended, don't come to me for beta work.

My mom is an English teacher, so I know quite a lot about grammar and spelling. Being a writer myself, I also do have some experience in character and plot development and things like that.

Sometimes I try to change other people's work too much, so I might be weird about that. You would also have to tell me how much you want it proofread, because sometimes grammar can take a back seat in my mind to the flow of the story, and I respect that. However, if that's an accident, then you'd have to tell me. If you're looking for someone to add humor to your writing, don't pick me.

I prefer reading stories in fandoms I like, but will read anything. I like action/adventure stories mostly, but my favorites are ones that mix every genre together. If you want a check for continuity or people being in-character, then the only fandoms I can promise that in are Wicked(book-verse), Buffy the Vampire Slayer(mostly seasons 3-7), Avatar: The Last Airbender, South of Nowhere, Life With Derek, How I Met Your Mother, Hannah Montana, and Harry Potter. I'll read other stories, but I won't actually have any knowledge about it.

I refuse to read any incest(step-sibling relationships are fine) or any pure smut.
