I'm a college student majoring in Studio Art. While I am not an English major or minor, I love to read. My father was an English/History teacher, and my mother has a BA in English, so I have a pretty good understanding of the subject despite my lack of official study.

Grammar, spelling, and general sentence structure. I think I'm better at editing than I am at writing, strangely enough. I also have an intermediate understanding of French, which I studied five years. In other words, I know more than just the basics, but I'm definitely not fluent. As I enjoy reading, I have a good understanding of many subjects, especially psychology, biology, history, religion, and various cultures. I also enjoy looking up things I do not know about, so I can be a fact-checker even if I'm not familiar with the subject.
I try to stay open-minded.

I'm not much of a Brit-picker, though I've read enough Harry Potter fic to know a few words and phrases. My French is decent, but far from perfect. I am not the fastest editor ever. I prefer to spend some time checking over and considering everything before I give my opinion. I'll probably need a day or two on average for most chapters.
I read erotica and educational works about sex, but I have little experience actually writing it.

I will admit to this now: I am a slash fiend. I definitely prefer slash over anything else, but I'll consider hetero works as well. My favorite genres are definitely angst, drama, hurt/comfort, and anything else on the darker side of human nature. Most, if not all, of my OTPs are train wrecks waiting to happen.

Sweet romances make me cringe, but I'll consider them as long as they're not too OOC. I tend to get impatient with song-fics for some reason, and M-preg (or any detailed pregnancy story for that matter) is faintly disgusting to me.
