Hi, I'm Severe Cabbage. I obsess over spelling, grammar, and punctuation, so I'm very good at fixing those types of errors. I mainly concentrate on mechanics, but I also try to point out problems with plot, etc. I'm generally pretty quick, but I'm a student and sometimes it might be necessary for me to disappear for a while. However, I will not do this without informing people first! I've betaed before actually registering as one, so I know the drill. Anyone can ask me to beta for them, but I'm going to reject you if I can't actually bear to finish your fic. But don't worry, that's pretty unlikely.

I'm very good at fixing spelling and punctuation errors, as well as problems with grammar. I'm fairly good with characterization if the fandom is one I'm familiar with. I also can spot whether you're sticking to the plot and themes or not, and will try to point you in the right direction!

I can be a bit too obsessed with the mechanics and not focus enough on the plot. Also, if I don't know the fandom particularly well, characterization can be a problem.

Horror stories are always fun, as well as mystery, supernatural, humor, adventure and suspense. Romance is alright, and I can deal with angst most of the time. I read a lot more books than anything else, so I'd prefer things from that category, although it's not that important.

Well, I'd naturally love to avoid the Mary-Sues! Also, I don't like fics that are just big puddles of plotless angst.
