I like reading well typed/worded stories, so I decided to become a beta-reader to those that want it. I usually look through the chapter first to find any of the obvious mistakes, then I read it more slowly to find any grammatical errors. Punctuation comes after that, then finally spelling. As for expectations, you can look at the section describing what I don’t like to beta read. I also expect that constructive criticism is expected, because I’m going to be real blunt when it comes to pointing out mistakes. Other than that, I’m good with anyone who need help.

When it comes to describing things, I think thats where I do really well. Not just rooms or places, but also details and people.

I am a very impatient being. My typing and reading reflects that sometimes. *Shrug*

I'll beta pretty much anything, but my personall favorites are those that are well written and have a great story. If it has any pairings, that I would like it if the pairings actually, you know, work.

I really don't like it when an author won't finish writing their fic, especially when it's well advanced with more than 8 chapters posted. If they aren't going to finish it, they should post a warning that they aren't, or that the story is up for adoption. Or even if they have no intention of finishing it or letting someone else finish it; they should just take it down.
