For myself, I do try to read things with a critical eye. If you choose for me to beta read, remember that anything I do suggest is for your benefit

For the most part grammar and character flow is what I excel at. As I am a speed reader I tend to notice things that most people don't catch, as well, as spelling.

My downside is that as a speed reader I miss things as well. Sometimes it takes 3-4 times of reading something for me to catch something, so bear with me.

For the most part I am willing to go with most things. If I don't understand the characters I will most likely not understand the nuances of it, but I can at least help with the sentence structure and spelling. I would prefer at least to read stories from the genres that I have some familiarity with, so that I can be a better assistance to you.

Excessive violence or rape scenes...those disturb me, though while sometimes I understand some people need that for their plot development, reading them sometimes upsets me. As well, I am a straight girl, though scenes of Joey and Seto fun run through my head. Yuri is the quickest way for me to be turned off.
