I've never officially beta read before, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. I have helped out friends unofficially, so I guess that counts. The way I approach feedback on peoples work varies with the writer. Meaning, if I see you're a very capable writer I might nick pick more than someone who hasn't written much or isn't as serious/concerned. br /

Know that I am always honest, but am not offended if you don't care for my suggestions. So, you are free to disagree, just don't bash me. No reason for that.

I remember details, patterns very well. If you say something was on the wall and then the next chapter it's on the floor, I'm gonna notice that. I have a decent grasp of grammar. (I tend to read others things more carefully than my own.) I'm prone enough to hone in on character traits and personalities enough that, if it's someone I'm familiar with, I'll know if it's out of character or not.

I miss punctuation errors occasionally - particularly when it comes to comma's. I don't even bother with semicolons, which I've heard are evil anyway. I don't think I've used colons much either. There are a few grammar issues I have from time to time ... that would include how to use was/were. I'm still learning fandom lingo, so I still don't know a few of them.

I will review nearly anything that comes my way. The only downside is that if I don't know the characters then I won't be able to give feedback regarding characterization within cannon, or plot, things of that nature. The shows I watch and am most familiar with are, Criminal Minds, Numbers, Lost, Heroes, Smallville, Supernatural, The Mentalist, Days of Our Lives, StargateSG1 and Atlantis.

I do not enjoy reading about homosexuality. A harmless gag, meaning maybe a jovial pun here or there is fine, but I do not want to read about two of my favorite characters engaging in such activities. That's my preference. I also don't want to read just general useless slash. I'd beta Mary Sue's before I'd beta that. Other than that, try me and I might be interested. Thanks!
