I'm one of those kind of readers with a rough exterior and a soft heart...I will relentlessly edit your work and occasionally be a tad mean, but I really do love writing and editing, and I love that other people do to. For this reason, I try my best to help people further themselves as writers by giving them criticism and encouragement.

I'm very thorough and meticulous when reading a story. I was the one who always helped grade other people's essays in high school, and there are few things I love more than editing.

I'm sometimes overly critical, and depending on my mood I may become easily frustrated, which in some instances causes me to throw out work and tell people to start all over. Just keep in mind that my view is that without criticism we never progress as writers. I am not overly grammatical, but can certainly help anyone with grammar. I, however, prefer to help with ideas, flow, and style.

I'll (probably) read anything not listed on my "not my cup of tea" section that is well written, coherent, and generally does not look like it was put together in five minutes by a mentally disabled seven year old. If you're writing isn't the best, that's fine, but I'm not taking the time to read something you didn't even feel the need to spend your time on, so don't ask me to read if you didn't even try. Though there aren't many yaoi/yuri pairings I love, I have no problem with them and will be happy to read any story that does not contain things on my "not my cup of tea" section.

Here are just a few of the things never to ask me to read: anything in which ash is with someone other than misty, don't care who it is, i don't like it. Fiction which could be sold at Wal-mart in the smut section will not be read (this is not to say i won't read something with any mention of sex...but anything that's turning into an Anne Rice novel can just go die. As far as Jhonen is concerned, any story which attempts to romantically pair any of his characters together will be met with disgust. I only read stories based on his work that remind me of the real thing. Also, if you find yourself constantly reusing words in your stories just don't ask me to read them...repetition makes me angry. Also, anything containing incest, bestiality (that includes pokemon and digimon), or crude and abundant twelve year old potty humor.
