I beta for grammar, keeping in character, spelling, and just general flow and plot consistency. I only beta for specific fandoms, though, namely things that I know well enough to write for.

I can be a bit of an intense editor: if I think something doesn't sound right or isn't working, I'll say it. But, at the same time, I really do enjoy writing, so know that any help sought from me comes with a wish to help you become a better writer, not just in fanfic. I want to help people out with writing, otherwise I wouldn't be here. ;D

I'm not a fan of fixing plots. I prefer to come up with my own ideas, so I really don't tend to look at how much the plot can be fixed. Character-driven stories, especially when I am very familiar with the characters involved, often work best for me to edit.

I like to beta what I know. I mean, how can you tell someone that they're keeping people in character or not if you haven't actually read/ seen what the fandom is and what the characters act like. Therefore, I prefer to beta:
- Doctor Who (9th Doctor)
- Artemis Fowl - Harry Potter - Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Pirates of the Caribbean

I might beta other fandoms, just send me a message and if I feel comfortable doing it, we'll go from there. :D

I'd much rather not beta fics that you haven't at least first tried to edit yourself. A lot of writing is learning what you can do on your own to become a better writer, not about calling in someone else to help you all the time. Recognize the mistakes you usually make and correct them--you'll get a lot farther that way.

I prefer not to read slash, but might be prevailed upon to do so. Also, not a big fan of OCs. Typically, they end up being done poorly or just not having any relevance to the story. If you can show me an OC that contributes something, or viably wins a character's heart, fine, I'll read it. Most of the time, though, that won't be the case.

Other than that, I'm open to any genre, provided the author has put effort in and is proud of their work.
