Haiguyz. It's Ser. So let's get down to business, shall we? If you want me to beta a piece of work, that's fine. It may or may not take a while for me to go through it and edit, but it all depends on how much I like your story, yadayadayada.
I basically try to be a beta in all the reviews I leave, though I tend to get lazy at times. If you're sending in work, I'd love it if you send it in COMPLETE or plan on sending me stuff to beta on a PLANNED SCHEDULE. There's nothing I hate more than being left in suspense.
If you have a oneshot, of course it'll take a much shorter time for me to go through than a novel-length fic.
When beta-ing, I usually look for grammatical errors and such first. Being the multitasker that I am, I keep two Notepad windows open: one for mistakes, and another for lines that I think are great. These lines usually consist of humor and/or really observant pieces of writing.
When I send you back your work, it'll be like an annotated copy. I'd have ripped it apart piece by piece. I swear, you should see my real life annotations, the papers are soaked through with ink.
I send back constructinve criticism. I give praise where praise is due and will try my utmost best to bring out the full potential of your writing.
