One day when Sonic and Tom race (with his car) together, a strange phenomenon sends them both in another universe in the 19th century. Meeting new people, trying to find a way back home and discovering an upcoming Trans-America Wild Race, Sonic and Tom prepare themselves for the ultimate race of their lives.
