Qĭ Líng sees Wu Xie fall after he kills the Snake Empress and finds a way to get to him. Wu Xie is unconscious, and the Dragon Spirit takes over and takes them to the Five Realms. As far as the Dragon is concerned Wu Xie is Qĭ Língs mate and therefore he must survive.
