1. Hugh Laurie!

It is undeniable; House is America's greatest medical drama. Hats off to the entire cast - especially Robert Sean Leonard and Jennifer Morrison - but at my observational angle, the series would have been a complete disaster without the unsurpassable talent of Mr. Laurie, of whom I am a tremendous fan. All the tea in England could never replace him.

2. Gordon Ramsay!

You may recognize him from Hell's Kitchen, which the ill-tempered chef certainly makes deserving of its title. His standards for tasty cuisine are dreadfully high. Yet the angrier Mr. Ramsay gets, the more the United States adore him - maybe because Americans harbor a strange affinity for angry foreigners.

3. Simon Cowell!

American Idol is insanely popular and is constantly featured in the magazines. Of course, the judges are just as vital to the competition as the contestants. And concerning the former, this one is definitely the sharpest, most blunt of the three. For this reason, unfortunately, the audience has booed him on more than occasion. But you have to love Mr. Cowell anyway.
