I have been writing fanfiction since I was little, around nine or ten years old. It became a hobby for me in middle school and continued into high school and beyond. I got serious about writing probably my senior year of high school. It actually got to be a problem for me in class, as I would write stories instead of taking notes. Especially in math class ;)

According to my mother, I used to make up stories and plays with my stuffed animals when I was very small, and would "charge tickets" to my relatives when they came over and make them watch my productions.

I love to read and have been reading since the age of two, which I think helped me develop into the writer I am now. Each book and each author taught me something new and exciting about writing, especially Peter David, Holly Black, Anne Rice, and J.K. Rowling. When severe depression set in my first go round in college, reading Harry Potter was one of the only things that gave me joy. I wouldn't get out of bed to go to class or eat, but I would get out of bed to go to the library and get the next Harry Potter book.

I'm now thirty-two and graduated from Appalachian State University with a BFA in Graphic Design and minor in Theater, and I currently live in Nashville with my husband and two rescue dogs.
