Author has written 14 stories for Harry Potter, and Guild Wars. FYI: I am horrible at remembering to click the favorite button on stories. But what I usually do, is I have a few VERY good authors that I like to read from on my favorites list. I read all their books. And I read all their favorited books. And somtimes I look at their favorite authors (theres a reason for the fav stories and fav authors lists!). Please, rather than looking at fav stories, look at fav authors, as there are only a few on that list NOT written by one of my fav authors. Although, I do have a lot of fav stories not by one of my fav authors, so check that out too. Thank You! NOTE: I will do my best to create a table of contents, of sorts... Only read if you truly believe in God. A teenage girl of about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: "How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?" The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it." Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?" The surgeon asked, "Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university." Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. "Would you like a lock of his hair?" the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally. The mother said, "It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.'" She went on, "My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could." Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car. The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room. She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep. It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said: Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me. As of 5/12/2018: Since I created this account on FFN, I have been adamantly Harry Potter. I wrote - and never finished - several stories in the Harry Potter universe. Now, I'm not into Harry Potter anymore, and have not logged into this account in several months. I'm sure people who read my stories are waiting impatiently for the next chapter or given up on more. What I've finally logged on to say - and many sincere apologies for not doing this before - is that I've gotten disinterested in Harry Potter. That ended three months after I last logged on. Roughly. The reason I didn't log on for those three months is because of personal issues and had nothing to do with not being interested. I might write a Harry Potter story, but it will only be a) when I have nothing else to write and I am finishing my other stories (which won't happen, ever, trust me) or b) a crossover. Anyway, I've picked up a new interest: Guild Wars 2. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED HoT (although if you never have and don't plan on playing at all, you're fine) If you hate Anet, my long-winded rant about them is near the bottom of this profile... or if you at least hate some of their decisions (like you have to kill Trahearne). It started when I finished the Heart of Thorns expansion, the end of which really... shocked me. So, I started writing fanfictions, parodies, and looking things up like mad. I didn't touch the wiki till the end of HoT. Crazy, right? And I also hadn't played any - I repeat, ANY Living World seasons. So, I knew I needed to look at that. Yay me, right? Anyway; LS1 wiki page! "Main Allies: Braham, Rox, etc" 'yeah, that makes sense, I know those people...' "Main Villains: Canach..." and I stared at that word for five minutes. "FIONA! CANACH WAS A BAD GUY!" I holler. And then I rant about it for five days. 'I mean really! Canach's a bad guy? He's supposed to, like, be on our team, against the dragons, sylvari...' really crazy. Then I actually read the page and found out that 'oh, he should be listed under something more like 'minor criminals', even though he might take offense at being called a 'minor criminal'. So that was the thing that stood out most in my wiki-reading days - at least so far, and excluding when I found out that Rytlock got to be Tribune by killing any superior who insulted him and taking their rank, which was only funny, and Rytlock totally would do that. Anyway. So. I've got... lemme check... 15 fanfictions in the works. They've all got the first chapter or part of them. Frankly, eight of those are parallels where 'what if my character did this instead of that' but that's still a ton, right? Please, please, please don't wait on me to publish one of my fanfics any time soon! Just because I am a heavy editor. Like, seriously, heavy editor. Plus, I don't have all that much time to write. Okay, I have a ton of time to write. But I have 15 fanfictions. That does not include the 17 I have ideas for but haven't started yet. Which I could start at any time if I get in the mood (how did you think I got to have 15 fanfics in the works at once?). And 7 songs I want to parody and haven't yet. And I'm adding to both lists all the time. I have GW2 dreams and I add those to the list! So. First, I don't want the pressure of updating every week - I tend to make long chapters, too - I probably would skip all around with which stories had updates and even if you did read all of them you'd get confused about each one's storyline. Second, it would be a nightmare keeping it organized. Third, you'd be begging and begging for the next chapter, especially for Get Out of my Head (GOMH) because I have that one in present tense, which makes it so much more tense (pun...kinda intended? Not sure if it is a pun...) and you'd be mad if I updated a different one. And I couldn't be sure of updating every week. It's much more satisfying to post it all at once - unless I get stuck, in which case... post, then please comment and give me ideas? Anyway, I'm going to post most of them the whole thing at once. Please, please, PM me if you have an idea for the storyline! I'll add it to my list and may even get started immediately! List of names I go by: On this site, I go by Tiffany Smithi. Okay, here's where I ramble on about things and you can get to know my viewpoints on things. Okay, this here is the section where I point out all of Anet's mistakes. Things that don't line up or make no sense. Or just random NPCs being stupid and making other NPCs die (both good NPCs). In chronological order, hopefully. I probably haven't got all of them, since I barely play anything but human. Things in italics are direct quotes from the guild wars 2 wiki. Levels one and five (roughly), for humans: "You were injured when the elemental exploded. Captain Thackeray brought you here personally. You've been unconscious for three days." Later, at level five, you get to the place where you did the tutorial. There is a hero point. Now, most hero points (at least the commune ones) have a bit of lore. This hero point is called Earthen Magic. It's the residual energy from the earth elemental. If you're a human, the lore-bit points this out. But it points it out wrong. "Residual energy lingers here. This site will forever be marred by the magic the Modniir shaman used to summon the great earth elemental that nearly killed Captain Thackeray." See, you are the one that was unconscious for three days. The earth elemental couldn't have 'nearly killed' Captain Thackeray and him still be in good enough condition to carry you, unconscious, back to the inn. Sure, if you're gamifying it, Captain Thackeray is the sort of guy who could be at 10hp and be able to do that. But it's the lore saying he was nearly dead, which means nearly dead. Not 10hp, no, but unconscious and needing medical attention now sort of nearly dead. That is perhaps the most nitpicky I have ever been with Anet. And for no reason, either. The Battle for Claw Island: No matter who you are, if you've played far enough, you've done the Battle for Claw Island. Maybe different people in it, maybe different people die depending on your Order, it doesn't matter. The circumstances for whoever died is the same. You talk to Watch Commander Talon in the archway by the couryard, and warn him of danger. You: An attack is imminent. Talon argues with you, and then Trahearne steps in. Trahearne: "Commander Talon, I can confirm their information. Zhaitan's servants are indeed approaching. A fleet of Dead Ships has launched from the Straits of Devastation. The Risen sail beneath a cloak of stealth." Talon still argues, and that's my sticking point. Before you get to the place where you are having the conversation, if you paid enough attention you might have heard Lionguard talking. Lionguard 1: Is that Trahearne up there, talking to Commander Talon? What do you think he wants? Everyone on the island knows that Trahearne studies Orr. Before you get close enough to talk to Commander Talon, Trahearne says: I've researched the situation extensively. The Orrians will strike here, on Claw Island. If you talk to Trahearne before or after talking to Commander Talon: Trahearne: This is an ill wind that comes from the south, and I fear that it heralds the end of Lion's Arch...My research implies there's a massive migration of Risen coming northward—sailing their Dead Ships on an unnatural wind. After you fail to convince Talon that the Orrians will overrun Claw Island, and Talon tells you to look over the island. Trahearne: If you don't mind, I'll accompany you on your rounds. It's been a while since I've toured the fortress. This implies that he did 'tour the fortress' once before. After the previous conversation, you talk to Talon again: You: How well do you know Trahearne? Commander Talon: I respect him a great deal. He often visits when we find some new kind of risen. He studies it, and tells us how to kill it. So, everyone on the island knows Trahearne. Talon respects Trahearne. Trahearne studies Orr. Later, Trahearne says: Trahearne: I have studied Orrian creatures for twenty-five years... Trahearne has been studying Orr for years. Everyone on Claw island knows he goes to Orr all the time. He probably knows exactly when the Dead Ships set sail from the Straits of Devastation, and perhaps how many there are. You and your mentor know there is an attack coming, because you saw Zhaitan's scout. The reason for Claw Island Talon tells you: Commander Talon: It was in 1237, just after the city was rebuilt, that Commodore Cobiah Marriner and his first mate, Sykox, turned the island into a fortress. You: Why did they do that? Commander Talon: They saw what Orrian invasions did to Port Noble and Port Stalwart. Someone had to stand their ground. I'm not sure if this dialog happened just with the Vigil, or with the other Orders, but when you find out about Zhaitan's scout, Forgal (Sieran or Tybalt's equivalent in the Vigil) says: Forgal Kernsson: I've only seen such a creature once before—at Port Stalwart, just before the Orrian dragon destroyed the town. Years ago. So, Forgal sees a creature at Port Stalwart, the dragon destroys the place, and Commodore Cobiah Marriner and Sykox build the fortress on Claw Island to defend against such a thing happening to them. That was in 1237. It is now 1325. A hundred years, and the fortress has never been defeated. So, you can conclude that strategy that they've been using, those weapons, works, right? And that's what Talon thinks. That's what all the Lionguard on that island think. That's what most people, especially in Lion's Arch, think. I can't blame anyone for thinking that, and I'm not. So, they wouldn't change their strategy. So, when Trahearne 'toured the island' however long ago, it was the same as it is now. Maybe the weapons have been replaced because they were getting old. Maybe the guard has changed a bit. But it's the same fortress, and the only reason for Trahearne to review the defenses is to refresh his memory. Conclusion: Trahearne knows Claw Island, he knows Commander Talon, he's been researching Orr for twenty-five years, and everyone knows it. Trahearne knows that a fleet of Orrian ships set sail from the Straits of Devastation, and they sail under a cloak of stealth. In most games, you say 'invisibility'. In Tyria, they say stealth. So you wouldn't know it was coming, because they're invisible. Talon says at one point they'd know if it was coming. Scratch that, Commander. Trahearne knows that they did launch, and maybe how many - my picture when Trahearne says that is they launch, Trahearne sees it, and then they stealth. So Trahearne would know how many there are, and know Claw Island can't withstand it. You and your Order-respective mentor see a scout - that was also at Port Stalwart just before Zhaitan destroyed Port Stalwart - below Lion's Arch, so you know there's an attack coming, at least as large as the one that destroyed Port Stalwart and Port Noble. Zhaitan sent assaults before, not too big, not too serious, probably for the purpose of figuring out the defenses. Then, he sent his best scout, but the scout was seen. He knows that if whoever saw the scout knows what it is, Claw Island will be prepared, so he speeds up his ships. So Trahearne knows Orr, he knows the Risen, and he knows Claw Island. Trahearne says there's Risen coming, Claw Island can't withstand it? It's backed up by you and mentor's information about a scout that is known to be a harbinger of attack/doom? Listen to the expert and prepare for a huge mass invasion already, Watch Commander Talon! And why don't you have a Lionguard stationed at the warning beacons at all times? The last half the battle was spent trying to get those beacons turned on! So, Claw Island was not prepared. Then, Zhaitan's minions attack. Talon gets hit by something, and then somebody - you - is sent to light the beacons. It takes a long time, and then we have to fight our way off the island. That is when your mentor decides to hold them off until they die, and you and everyone else escape to the ships back to Lion's Arch. So, your mentor dies because Watch Commander Talon is not too bright. Not to insult Talon, but he really should have known better. Another wierd piece of lore I've deduced: Norn live for centuries. Hey, hear me out. It was part of my last argument. Forgal Kernsson: I've only seen such a creature once before - at Port Stalwart, just before the Orrian dragon destroyed the town. Years ago. But Talon says: Commander Talon: It was in 1237, just after the city was rebuilt, that Commodore Cobiah Marriner and his first mate, Sykox, turned the island into a fortress...They saw what Orrian invasions did to Port Noble and Port Stalwart. Someone had to stand their ground. Err... 1237? Hey, Miss Priory over there, what's the current year? 1325? Okay. What's the difference between 1237 and 1325? Eighty-eight years? Kay, thanks. And that was after. 1237 was the year Claw Island was built, sometime after Port Stalwart's destruction. Eighty-eight years, at least. How the heck could Forgal have seen Port Stalwart destroyed and still be in his prime, a Warmaster of the Vigil, ninety years later? Norn live for a lot longer than humans! (Or maybe it's just a lore mistake. Who knows.) Breaking the Bone Ship: This is where Tonn dies, if you chose let an innocent die when the Pale Tree asked what your worst fear was. Listen to what he says: Tonn: That ship has to go down. I'll signal when the bomb is ready and I'm clear. When the detonator goes green, throw the switch and enjoy the show. When the detonator goes green, the charges are ready for blowup. When the charges are ready is also not when Tonn is clear. Oops... Crusader Gille: I see something...by the gods, it's Tonn! He's dead. I was sure he signaled us. Was the explosion bigger than he expected? These are explosives that he didn't make - he got them from a friend - or the Inquest, depending on your choices - and doesn't know them that well. He's an explosives expert, and he doesn't know how big the explosion is? And if he doesn't know how big the explosion is, why did he say 'when the detonator goes green' or give his signal when he didn't know how big the explosion would be? He didn't know we were being overrun by krait (and we weren't, really). Or is there a delay built into the detonator for when the light goes green? Or when you flip the switch and when the explosion happens? And maybe it's land-speed based? So, it's probably Tonn's fault that Tonn died... but it was a pretty foolish mistake. And I had to have my worst fear happen to me! (Oh, and it happened again with Zott, Eir, and Trahearne. You'll get to those in just a moment.) Ships of the Line, the Whispers plan story arc: So, you have these ships you captured, and you're infiltrating Orr... basically. Then, you land and Orrian catapults realize you're the enemy, and attack. You destroy all of them, and then we all say how great it is we did that. Then, Zott is one-shot (unintentional rhyme) by some Risen. How does this happen? Well... we achieved a small victory. We were celebrating, and off our guard. Understandable. The not-understandable part is that we were celebrating in the middle of a battle, with free, undead, not-dead, enemies lurking around. We were all ignoring this and saying how great it was that we destroyed three enemy towers - wait, didn't we do that a whole story-arc ago? With Tonn? Tonn had the explosives, you set the explosives, and Tonn dies. In this scene, Zott has the explosives, you set the explosives, and... guess what? Zott dies. Soo predictable... different ways of dying, sure, but still... foreshadowing much? Heart of Thorns, Hearts and Minds: There are several discrepancies in this one, of the sort that make you wonder... The most major one: Minds. You destroy the dragon's mind. The dragon just so happens to have a part of its mind inside Trahearne. But, if the dragon was disconnected enough from that part of his mind inside Trahearne that that portion of it didn't die, then how'd the dragon survive? If he wasn't connected enough for the mind-seed to die, he wasn't connected enough to flee to the mind-seed. It's hard to explain, so just think about it for a moment. You killed his mind... why didn't all of his mind die? And, if he was disconnected enough from the mind-seed for the mind-seed to not die, how did the Mordremoth that we killed get into the seed after we killed it, to survive? If Anet was logical, Trahearne wouldn't have died. He might have some residue of the dragon - maybe the occasional crazy thought now and then - but he'd be alive, and he'd be able to resist the occasional crazy thought, he resisted constant crazy thoughts for a year. The only explanation is Horcruxes. If you've ever read Harry Potter. A Horcrux is half your soul or mind or whatever. And it makes sense, kinda. But I seriously doubt Mordremoth would have split his mind into half. He likes his mind. And how could he control all those sylvari, not to mention Mordrem, and all his twisty. sinister, dramatic vines, and the bits of him trying to grab all the waypoints, with only half his mind? Trahearne can't be that important to him. So whyy, Anet? Plus, there's no frickin' thing as Horcruxes in Tyria. If Anet was logical, then one of two outcomes would have happened: 1) The seed within Trahearne dies with the dragon, and Trahearne dies with the seed. 2) The seed dies with the dragon, and the seed is gone and Trahearne is free, no need for Trahearne to die. Either outcome is logical, and has an equal chance of happening with what I know of seeds and whatnot. The sword. Caladbolg. Picture the scene of Trahearne's capture, one of several ways: Trahearne is fighting with the sword, probably both as a magical weapon and as a normal sword, but eventually, the sword is shattered, he is overwhelmed and captured. What happens to the sword? It is either left behind - it's just a sword. Or, it is taken with them - it's a magical artifact. Either way, Trahearne doesn't have it. If the sword is left behind, how did it get to the place where Trahearne was being held so you could then conveniently kill him? If the sword is brought with them, why would Mordremoth put it within a few yards of Trahearne, without any sort of magical barrier? Without any sort of protection? It's not like Mordremoth can trust Trahearne to protect the thing - that makes logically no sense whatsoever. So what is going on with this sword? The only - only reason I can come up with is that Mordremoth knows Trahearne has the connection to it, and has it near enough to taunt Trahearne - I have your sword and you can't get it, I might not be able to get into your mind but I have your sword, there's nothing you can do - which makes sense. But no guards? And if it is really important enough for Mordremoth to bring it all the way from wherever Trahearne's airships crashed, he wouldn't have it just sitting around. He'd be using it, or studying it, or somthing. It's probably irrelevant to the storyline, anyway - you can always just use your own weapon to kill him. Or maybe Rytlock's sword - it's a flaming sword, Caladbolg is kind of glowy, it probably counts. And if the reason we needed specificaly Caladbolg to do it with, is because it's connected to Trahearne, it was a gift from the Pale Tree, it's got all this power... that makes sense. But, that is because Anet says Caladbolg is the only sword that can do it. If Anet says another sword would do it, then hey! That's how it is... Another way that could have worked out that I noticed recently! Mordremoth is stupid: Remember the story chapter 'Roots of Terror'? With the giant chak and the three different paths you can take. When you first arrive and talk to Lieutenant Morrison. Lieutenant Morrison: Commander. Mordrem assaulted us the moment we hit the ground. The survivors were taken prisoner. You: You managed to escape? Lieutenant Morrison: Yes...so a few of us could escape... A monster... The magister led a group after it, to kill it." How do they plan to kill this monster (who we know is a giant chak)? They just landed, and have no contact with anyone but our group until halfway through, when Pact soldiers show up at their camp. So how do they kill it? You'd need weapons to kill anything. But unless Mordremoth is stupid, (no, really, just plain dumb) they don't have weapons. It's no wonder they never succeeded at their mission! But these are Whispers and Priory people, they know better than to go off without weapons, specifically to kill something! So, they must have weapons. The only place to get weapons is... their own weapons, which were (if Mordremoth is smart) taken from them when they were captured. Logic says that either Whispers people are stupid, or Mordremoth is stupid. I seriously doubt you can truthfully say 'Order of Whispers' and 'stupid' in relation to each other. And it's even MORE bizarre to say 'Priory' and 'stupid' in relation to each other. It's just ludicrous. Mordremoth's greatest strength is his mind... I doubt he'd be that stupid. So we have a gaping hole (not that that is anything new) in logic here. The only thing I can think up, is that Mordremoth didn't care if they escaped or if they escaped could they survive. Or he might have been planning this! (Maybe to demoralize us? Bring us news of how horribly he was treating our friends and how hopeless it was to try and rescue them? Oh, we never got that information. But hey! It might have helped us decide not to go to Rata Novus 'oh, let's wander off and explore some fancy new tech! I know, we can come do this AFTER we rescue our friends, but I wanna do it now.') Another one! Caladbolg (again). What do we all remember most about Caladbolg (aside from using it to kill Trahearne)? It was the focus Trahearne used to cleanse Orr. CALADBOLG! Can you please pretty please channel more of that power to cleanse, oh, I don't know, Trahearne? Should work, don't you think? And why didn't anything weird happen to sylvari when Mordremoth died, like Caithe was anxious about? Okay, here's other things that I like rambling about! Not discrepancies, technically, but maybe being mad at Anet... Number one: Dragon's Watch. Oh boy. On the wiki, it says the members of Dragon's Watch are (this may be out of order) Commander (you) I ( and I haven't played this yet, all my info is from the wiki: ) read that list. "That list is way too short. Where's everyone?" Because there's so many people to keep track of, I didn't bother figuring out who was missing from that list. Instead, I read the wiki page. There wasn't much - the next section was the Trivia section. Interesting facts. "People who were invited but declined: Logan Thackeray and Braham." I looked at that for a minute. Then I ranted for the next few days. I'd heard, before then, that Braham was leading a group called Destiny's Edge in the Shiverpeaks, so that wasn't entirely surprising. What surprised me was Logan. He declined to join what is essentially Destiny's Edge 2.0. Really, Logan? Really? Then, a few days later, once I'd exhausted myself, I finally read the reason: He's weakened from his time in the Blighting Tree. He's the Marshal of the Pact now. "Oh, that makes a ton more sense." I'm not going to hold a grudge against Logan for now being Marshal where Trahearne used to be - much the contrary, Logan is one of the best people I can think of to lead the Pact. (The only other person that isn't Trahearne would have been Eir, but she's dead too.) The idea that he's too weak from the Blighting Tree exposure makes a lot of sense. He's a guardian - he can't be wounded or injured long-term, if he's going to be out fighting. But... has nobody in Tyria heard of honorary members? Players get five guilds at once, representing one. Logan can be in Dragon's Watch in a nonactive postion, while 'representing' the Pact. Dragon's Watch and the Pact are two groups that it would be tactically advisable to ally together. And having the Marshal of the Pact as one of Dragon's Watch members would do that. Dragon's Watch and the Pact can share information, hey, Dragon's Watch can be a part of the Pact, they do the exact same thing!! So, after I'd done thinking all the different ways it could work out, I read more of the wiki page. Braham didn't join because of disagreements about honoring the original Destiny's Edge? What? I probably agree with Braham, whatever it is! Because, knowing Braham, it would not be something ridiculous like 'only one person from each race!' no, not that. That's ridiculous. It'd be something like going after Jormag first - that's what Braham's version of Destiny's Edge is doing in the Shiverpeaks. And I wouldn't object to that. No indeed. It could be something else, like... I don't know! But 'honoring Destiny's Edge'? I don't have a problem with that! I read more of the wiki. Canach originally declined, but then joined up later. I completely agree with him - it's totally in-character for Canach to not want to join and go off on his own for a while. It also makes sense for him to come back at some point or another. That's not a problem. Then... I saw the next line. It was scarily informative, with no personality in the paragraph whatsoever, like a school paper. "Like Rytlock and Logan, Caithe and Zojja are also surviving members of Destiny's Edge..." Oh, that's who was missing!" I say to myself. "Caithe and Zojja!" "...but they have not yet been invited." Period. Next paragraph: "the name of the guild was chosen..." "WHAT?" I shriek. "Why in the eternal depths of Orr would we not invite Caithe and Zojja??? Caithe and Zojja! I can only come up with one reason: Zojja: She went through the same ordeal with Logan - in other words, she's too weak. But she's an elementalist, she was already fragile! She should be completely okay with fighting! Could Taimi build a Mr. Sparkles 2.0? You bet she could! It would be just like Scruffy, and Zojja could get inside. She's not a guardian, like Logan - she doesn't need to be tough and undying, the way guardians need to be. But Logan was at least invited!! Why not let Zojja make her own decision? We can invite her, and she can decline, if she doesn't feel up to it - like Logan! Why isn't that what happened?? Caithe: Glint's Egg. She ran off with it with no explanation. That is my only answer, for why nobody would invite her. However, I don't mind. It was her Wyld Hunt. Sylvari and Wyld Hunts... I mean seriously? Her explanation when we met up with her was more than sufficient for me! I don't hold it against her! Why does my character? Everybody's character? The only other answer for why not invite Caithe, is she is a sylvari. Really, really stupid, huh? Mordremoth is dead now, and if he wasn't, she held up right next to him! Oh and look - Canach's in it! He's a sylvari! If we're not inviting people because they're sylvari, why's he in? But most importantly, why are we not letting people in because they're sylvari?? That makes no sense AT ALL! So, I am really annoyed... no, not annoyed... I can't get the right word. Annoyed at Anet for Caithe and Zojja. Annoyed at Anet for Logan and Braham. Annoyed at Anet for a million things... Yeah, right. Annoyed is not the right word, it's 'disgusted'. They killed people - like Trahearne, and Eir - because some players didn't like them. Or maybe because most people don't like them. But I do! Everyone who reads fanfiction - or writes it - likes them! I went and looked through the list of GW2 fanfics the other day, and I didn't particularly see a million fanfics about how sad people were that Trahearne was dead, but I didn't see any that made it seem like they didn't like Trahearne or Eir. But Anet just killed two really, really intelligent, characterized, likeable people just because somebody complained. Eir? The leader of Destiny's Edge, the tactician, the hero of the norn, and she frickin' killed three dragon champions. Jormag's lieutenant, the Dragonspawn, Zhaitan's lieutenant, Morgus Lethe, and Primordus's lieutenant, the Destroyer of Life. Oh. And she almost killed Kralkatorrik. An Elder Dragon. Even the Player Character can't kill an Elder Dragon - or even an Elder Dragon's champion! - without the help of all three Orders. Eir did it with five other helpers. Six people - seven, if you count Garm - killed three champions and almost an Elder Dragon. (I've a bunch of ideas how Snaff could've survived.) Eir was the leader of all that. Wow. And get this -- Eir is, if you made a norn character, your best friend. Your best friend. You've been doing missions with her ever since level zero, and they kill her for no reason. Really? I've got a fanfic going that starts just before Eir dies, and from then on sense and rational thought make decisions, not Anet's schemes. I'll post it once it's done... Trahearne? The leader of the Pact! One of your best friends! He's the sort of guy that you say 'let's have him be the leader of this Pact we're making, just because I've known him for a few days and he seems nice!' and then you consider; 'oh wait, that's not nearly enough of a reason, what other reasons, because I really want him to lead this pact... oh, there we go, all the Orders respect him!' he just impresses on you, and you're really good friends within a few days. I mean, leader of the Pact is an important position, and your character hasn't known him for that long. It seems ridiculous, if you think about it. But, most likely, you (like me) didn't see anything wrong with it. "Yeah, Trahearne's a good choice for that, go on, me!" He's just the sort of person that does that without realizing it! And why couldn't they keep calling themselves Destiny's Edge? Dragon's Watch sounds like... it sounds like we're watching the dragons. Yeah. Dragon: what are you doing?" Dragon's Watch: watching. Dragon: why? DW: to know when you start terrorizing Tyria. Dragon: Oh, look at that, I'd better hide... no really, why are you watching me? You're not trying to kill me, you're just watching. DW: You're not being bad right now. Dragon: So I'm a little kid? DW: No, but the last time we actively tried to kill a dragon the leader died, the tactician died, and we renamed ourselves. We suit name to action. They were Destiny's Edge, and tried to kill the dragons. We're Dragon's Watch, so we watch the dragons. While we argue internally over what to do about them Dragon: you guys are ridiculous. I'll just go terrorize Tyria. DW: Ahh! The dragon's terrorizing Tyria! What do we do? Let's kill it! No, let's put it to sleep! No, let's run far away so we're not dominated! No, let's turn it to our side! No, let's call in the Pact! No, let's... See what I mean? I'm not saying Dragon's Watch would do that, but that's kind of what the name sounds like. We only lost one member and added five, why does that necessitate a name change? Unless you can tell by the context, when I say 'Dragon's Watch' I mean: Commander Plus Trahearne and Eir, if the fanfic is set 1) before those two die 2) it's a time-travel fanfic 3) any other time it is appropriate, because they would have been in if they were alive. (OH WAIT! Logan isn't in it because he's the new Pact leader, so maybe Trahearne wouldn't have been in it if he were still around. Ehh, who am I kidding. Of course he would have been in it.) I officially hate Anet now. People complained about things - a minority complained - and nobody spoke against it. 'Ohh, we hate Trahearne, he should die!' 'oh, this and this this this this!' Anet: 'Oh, okay then. That sounds like a lot of people saying that. We'll not bother with running a poll or anything because a bunch of people (who most likely are whiney teens with nothing better to do with their time) say they don't like these aspects of our game. Trahearne will die! And the Commander has to do it! And Eir will die, to build Braham's character!' I mean seriously, guys? I once decided to see what some reactions to that were. I do that by running a simulation in my head. In this case, it was a dev telling the person who developed Trahearne's character that they were going to kill him. You can imagine how well that went down for dev #2. 'Is this like the time you said 'find a way for Logan Thackeray to die' and then later said 'find a miraculous way for him to come back because he didn't really die'? 'Nope.' 'That's what you said last time' 'Really?' Later: 'Hey, you free?' 'Oh, is Trahearne going to be alive again?' 'No, I wanted to tell you that...' that's not exactly it, but you get the idea. MOST PEOPLE are indifferent to Trahearne - it's the whiney, vocal 'haters' who get their way, because they are vocal and we are not. 'oh, his voice is annoying, kill him!' 'oh, he takes credit for everything, kill him!' it makes no sense, because those accusations don't stand up under scrutiny (I mean, really, turn your sound off if you don't like how he sounds, genius.) It's not enough to kill him over! I mean, he's Trahearne, he could easily resign from the Pact or something... okay, not 'easily' but really. Nobody's locked in, and Anet could just have him fade out. New Wyld Hunt! They wrecked everyone's perceptions of Caithe with that, send Trahearne away the same way. Back to Orr, perhaps. Bring civilization. Heal Orr, as oppose to heal the land of Orr. We'd mourn the fact he's no longer around, or at least wonder, but it wouldn't be as 'Noooo I had to kill my best friend... whyy Anet...' But haters are vocal. And we are not. And I had this bright idea - if the haters complain and get their way, can I complain and get my way? like, 'at least give us the option for some things! I know that Commander (or whoever) is going to reforge Caladbolg or something like that. And then you get to wield it. No no no no no no I doo not want to wield the weapon that I killed my friend with, especially since it's his frickin' weapon. And it wasn't his weapon before it was his weapon - it was a different syvlari's weapon. And he died, and then Caladbolg was given back to the Pale Tree so she could pass it on to Trahearne whenever. But, instead of the same thing happeneing when Trahearne dies, you take the sword? Really? The only way that would make sense is if you are a sylvari... which actually makes more sense then it going to some other sylvari... just because. It's obviously a weapon of... legacy, of power, or somthing. The last sylvari to wield this weapon was the Marshal of the Pact - the next person to wield it will be the former Commander of the Pact. Which makes a ton of sense, but I still. Don't. Want. To. Use. It. It's Trahearne's. So, yes. I am mad at Anet. Update on these sections, because I've kind of played those parts now. Ehh, don't read unless you've played up to PoF. Caladbolg first. I realized after a while (probably when the Dream told me (because I am half-sylvari) that Caladbolg is a living weapon) that Caladbolg deserves to see the Elder Dragons fall. And it's all I have left of Trahearne Yay me that I decided to! I got to see Trahearne again, when the sword gave me a vision to a) defeat a Remnant of a Scholar, b) talk to Trahearne (I almost cried at seeing him again) and c) duel him. Dueling is a lot better than killing or simply beating him up, especially when he agrees and even says 'I've always wondered how a duel would turn out.' And d) talk to him some more. He said he couldn't think of any better person to wield Caladbolg. I have taken up the blade and wield it against the Elder Dragons and any that stand in the way of my defeating them (I absolutely LOVED the fact that I could beat up ley-energy scavengers with Caladbolg, harvest a 'ley organ', kill Risen, and heal Orr some more). And Zojja... I haven't even seen Zojja in all of S3. According to asura in Rata Novus, the Commander was right when she said 'she's much worse than Logan' upon rescuing her. (But what about those people who decided to save Zojja first? Huh? Thinking about it that way, the thing is out of whack.) NOTES FOR 'TYRIA'S REAL!?!' Chapter one: The 'Tutorial' Me and my sister are transported into Tyria. The 'tutorial' is rather unnecessary. Chapter two: Lending a Hand Me and my sister have been transported into Tyria. Yep. Me and my sis now live in Tyria. Un-believable! It doesn't happen to country girls like me and Fiona. It just doesn't. But, it turns out, it's not so good - or maybe it's better. Remember those things called NPCs? They don't exist. But, it's not just me and Fiona, either. NPCs, like Destiny's Edge and even villagers do exist, but they are alive. They aren't computers. Oh dear. What if I insult one of them? What if Destiny's Edge never reforms? What if we never kill Zhaitan? Chapter three: Spiders and Apple Pies After the centaur assault on Shaemoor, lots of people need help. Regular nuisances didn't dry up just because of the centaurs. Tiffany and Fiona's friends, Mat and Ayla, come along for the ride, too. Chapter four: Bandits in Trouble Tiffany and Fiona take Ayla, Mat, and their mother, Katherine, to Eda's house to bake some apple pies. Meanwhile, Tiffany and Fiona sneak off the oust the bandits that have been troubling the area from the Bandithaunt caverns. Whoa! Their level, if they were players, is only five. But they're not players, and Tiffany has some tricks up her sleeve - literally! - While Fiona's a lot more advanced in deception than someone her age should be. Chapter five: Prisoner of the Bandits Tiffany and Fiona discover that Mat is missing, and try to find him. (Sorry, any more summary would mean spoilers!) Chapter six: The Chase Tiffany and Fiona's relations in the city need their help. Then, they rush headlong after Mat. The trail is long. They teach a little lesson to the fishmonger at Black Haven, in Kessex Hills. Chapter seven: The Rescue The rescue party continues the mission to find Mat. The bandits have been plotting again... Chapter eight: Foiled Plans Bandits think they're sneaky. Bandits think they can get away with things and be released from jail after. But they can't do any of those things - not when the Tassof sisters are on the case. Chapter nine: WHATEVER! The three sisters go to visit Captain Thackeray as planned. After they're done, Tiffany and Fiona go for a walk and talk about things. The impact this - Tyria, everything - will have on them, as people, and their lives back home. Oh, and funny actions from the Tassof girls. Chapter ten: Reunions and Realizations Dun dun dun! Sorry, no summary for this chapter, because I had a cliffie last chapter. I'm afraid that'll become the norm - cliffie last chapter means no summary. But, Logan has a good think at the end. Chapter eleven: Meetings and Discussions The Tassof family 'meets' Mat and Ayla. Loose ends and plot-holes (if any) are finished off. Tiffany and Fiona actually get around to checking on the Bandithaunt Caverns to ensure the bandits haven't started trying to rebuild. (Tiffany and Fiona madness, as usual. Falcon may introduce more NPC-related humor.) Chapter twelve: Destiny's Edge A chapter to recover in, to digest chapter ten eleven with. (In other words, Fiona's entirely useless dream) Chapter thirteen: The White Mantle The Tassof sisters assist the Shining Blade and the Seraph in uprooting several White Mantle hideouts, in the process of trying to find their parents. Chapter fourteen: Deceased Relations The Tassof sisters discover their parents last known place of residence. Tiffany charms a new pet, and Petra and Andrew fall into the normal procedure when it arrives home. Tiffany, Fiona, and Deborah learn their parents names and history. Chapter fifteen: The Priorities of the Vigil A month later, Risen are appearing in Lychcroft Mere. The Vigil and Priory have arguments, but luckily the Tassof girls are on hand to be spectaculary surprising. Oh, and Fiona forgets that nobody knows that sylvari are 'byproducts' of Mordremoth... oooops... Chapter sixteen: The Orders of Tyria A meeting of the Orders, wherein it is decided that, once again, the Tassof sisters will break the bounds of... the bounds of Anet. But, you already knew that. Chapter seventeen: Arguments and Assassinations This chapter comes in two parts - saving Queen Jennah and the Destiny's Edge meeting in Lion's Arch. Chapter eighteen: Welcome to the Order! A brief round-out of the Destiny's Edge meeting, and then Tiffany and Fiona's perspectives on their first mission for their respective Orders, respectively. Chapter nineteen: Recollections and Reassurances A summary of the last week or so. More fun playing around at the Tassof Tavern. Some memory-sharing moments later, of the two girls remembering life on Earth. Chapter twenty: Echoes Tiffany and Fiona go out to find the Whisper's base - the Chantry of Secrets. It's hard to find. Really. They talk about things the while. Chapter twenty-one: Mat and Ayla's Field Trip (Part 1) After realizing they can't continue into the Chantry of Secrets today, Tiffany and Fiona decide to visit Mat and Ayla, having not done so recently. Mat and Ayla have a newfound interest in sylvari, having met one in passing on the streets of Divinity's Reach, and ask Tiffany and Fiona to take them to the Grove. Tiffany says there is not enough time, but that they can see Lion's Arch, which is on the way, and go to the Grove tomorrow. Chapter twenty-two: The First Surprises Tiffany and Fiona visit Claw Island, where the first surprise awaits. The next day, they go (finally) to the Chantry of Secrets, where more surprises and uncertainties await. What those are is for me to write and you to read. If you don't die of shock first, of course. Chapter twenty-three: Mat and Ayla's Field Trip (Part 2) Tiffany and Fiona take Mat and Ayla to the Grove to see the sylvari. Mat and Fiona get in an argument, with Ayla trying to mediate, that mirrors Zojja and Eir's argument with Caithe trying to fix it. Tiffany intervenes and solves it. Chapter twenty-four: Bad Ice Tiffany and Fiona write down their contacts list. The next morning, Tiffany is feeling sick, so Fiona strikes out on her own to do some exploring, and to find Falooaloo. And makes five acquaintances and two Whispers Agents. Chapter twenty-five: Troubling Situations Begins from the Whispers Agent Bor's perspective on Disa's death and subsequent happenings. Tangwen visits Tiffany and Fiona, and the two discover a troubling mystery. Tiffany and Fiona (supposed Smith) are revealed as 'Tassof' by the mysterious Vanti. They are given a new assignment. Chapter twenty-six: Icebrood Slayer (achievement) Vriré's perspective on the Tassof girls completing their assignment. Shilgni saves the day, as the Tassof girls don't know Vriré is watching them. Vriré is suitably confused when Fiona generates sleds, and when earth-references are made that don't give away the secret. Chapter twenty-seven: Honest Whispers Tiffany and Fiona return to the Chantry of Secrets and are given their next assignment. Vriré visits a friend in Rata Sum, and discuss inconsequential things. The next day, Tiffany and Fiona meet with their Earth family and friend. Vriré, who had had a little too much to drink the night before, is late enough to miss that discussion. Then, Tiffany and Fiona head into Caudecus's Manor for the celebration of the détente with the charr. Chapter twenty-eight: Social Interactions Tiffany, Fiona, and Deborah attend the celebration at Caudecus's Manor. Tiffany suspects Monique DeLana of being a Separatists, and that Uzolan is in with her. Chapter twenty-nine: Dishonorable Separatists Tiffany's experiences with the Separatists after blacking out. She is faced with a dreadful choice... and Beorn makes it for her. Chapter thirty: The Aftermath The aftermath of Beorn's death. Tiffany locks up her emotions. Then they go and see the PCs who have logged in. Fiona explains Beorn's absence after Tiffany leaves. Then the two head to the Chantry and receive the necessary information to be trained by Agent DeGlasse. Chapter thirty-one: Cedda Tiffany and Fiona go to see Mat and Ayla, and they crack Tiffany open, and she realizes that she can't hide from Beorn's death. The next day, she, Fiona, and Forgal head to Cragstead and Lashoosh. Chapter thirty-two: Breaking Habits Cedda leads Tiffany, Fiona, and Forgal to meet her friends in Durgar’s steading. Afterwards, the group of three head back to Cragstead and train the older teens a bit. Tiffany and Fiona gain the respect of most of the young norn, before Tiffany is bullied by some of the stuck-up ones. Afterwards, Braham and the Heros of Shaemoor have a conversation. The confusion surrounding Mat's capture is cleared up here: Day 4: Morning: Mat, Ayla and Katherine have a baking day at Eda's while Tiffany and Fiona go wipe out the Bandithaunt Caverns. M gets bored and wanders off. Noon: Mat gets captured by a bandit. Twitchy Jake takes him to the nearest hideout, Sundown: Jake moves him just after sundown. Joslyn and Phillipe have a conversation over the video call function on Slack. Midnight: He stops at Eldvin Monastery and gets drunk. Mat wakes up unrefreshed, and goes back to sleep. Day 5: About 1am: Jake continues south towards Goff's hideout in the Kessex hills. About 6am: Jake arrives in Swamplost Haven early in the morning, to the astonishment of the Lionguard there that he'd come through the swamp at night. About 9am: We discover that Mat is missing, and launch an all-out search for him. 9am - 6pm: We search for Mat. Jake arrives in Black Haven About 6pm-7pm: Petra calls for Tiffany and Fiona to help break up a bar fight, in which Andrew gets hurt and the bandits are arrested by Commander Serentine. 7-8pm: Tiffany drops everything - including the search for Mat - to get Andrew some medicine. About 8:30: She returns and gives him the medicine. Day 6: About 8-9am: Captain Thackeray visits the tavern, and Petra, Andrew, Captain Thackeray and Countess Anise learn the details of Mat's capture. Jake leaves Black Haven. Someone notices he goes the way he came, at least past the closest fork. 9am: Commander Serentine releases Big Nose Ted from jail. Ted starts planning a major arson operation in the city. Tangwen stops leveling, and simply scours Salma and Shaemoor. About 9:30am: Tiffany and Fiona go to Shaemoor, and are met by Ayla who tells them where her parents headed. Noon -1pm: Big Nose Ted realizes the bandits don't have the numbers to do their job since Tiffany and Fiona wiped out their main hideout. T&F meet up with Ayla's parents at Eldvin Monastery, and learn of Jake's stay there two nights ago. About 5pm: Jake arrives at the bandit lieutenant Goff's hideout. About 6pm: The rescue party arrives at Swamplost Haven, and decide to continue on to Black Haven. About 9pm: When they arrive in Black Haven, they get information from the fishmonger, before going back home. Day 7: About 10am: Ted sends a bandit to get help from Goff for the city operation. Said bandit waypoints. 10:30-11:30: The bandit messenger from Ted to Goff has trouble convincing Goff to come help. Noon-1:30pm: It takes even longer to recall the bandits that are scattered afield and get them moving to Divinity's Reach - they all waypoint. About 2-2:30pm: Mat's rescue party arrives, decimates the remaining bandits, release Mat and Deborah, and discover about the bandits operation in Divinity's Reach. About 3pm : Tiffany goes to tell Captain Thackeray about the bandits plan. About 4pm: Deborah meets up with Petra again, and Fiona learns that the centaurs knew Falcon Company's tactics, and took prisoners. Captain Thackeray might be interested in this information. About 5pm: Tiffany and Fiona meet up in Shaemoor. Tiffany will help Captain Thackeray protect Queen's Heart Orphanage, while Fiona will help Lt. Francis with Vanguard Hospital. I've kind of stopped, because it only seemed necessary for understanding the confusion in the 'Mat has been captured' couple chapters. Nobody seems to be using this, either. Am I wasting my time on this elaborate profile? (Eh. I don't care if I am or not.) Plus, at this point, the paths really diverge from the canon. GUILD WARS 2 THEMED CHESS SET: Pact vs. Zhaitan: White: King: Player Queen: Trahearne Bishop A: Logan Thackeray Bishop B: Rytlock Brimstone Knight A: Caithe Knight B: Eir Stegalkin Rook A: Zojja Rook B: MrSparkles Pawns: PactVigil soldiers Reasons: If the player dies in GW2, dies for good, there's no more game, is there? If the King dies in chess, it's game over. The player should also be the Queen, because the player is the most effective person on the battlefield, but the Pact wouldn't exist without Trahearne, and so he's the most powerful piece. Bishops are on the king and queen's flanks, defending them. Logan Thackeray is a guardian, (and he's Queen Jennah's right-hand man). Rytlock is the other Bishop because he's a warrior (and high-ranking in the Black Citadel). (And, because he doesn't fit anywhere else.) Caithe is a Knight because she's a thief - she stealths and shadowsteps and all that cool stuff. Knights hop all over the board, bypassing normal obstacles easily. Eir is the other Knight because rangers can stealth, as well as being able to send Garm places and essentially be in two places at once. Zojja and Mr. Sparkles are the Rooks, because they are a team, and Mr. Sparkles, as a golem, is very programmed, and moves in jerky straight lines (golems even talk in jerky straight lines). The Pawns are Pawns, Pact soldiers (and the Vigil is the military of the Pact, the OoW and the Priory are information suppliers). Black: King: Zhaitan Queen: Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan Bishop A: Mouth of Zhaitan Bishop B: Mouth of Zhaitan Knight A: Eye of Zhaitan Knight B: Eye of Zhaitan Rook A: Dead Ships Rook B: Dead Ships Pawns: Risen Abominations Reasons: The King is Zhaitan because King is the lose/win switch. You don't win against Zhaitan by killing all the Risen. The Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan defended Zhaitan's biggest weakness - the Artesian Waters, where Trahearne was capable of cleansing Orr, greatly weakenig Zhaitan. The Bishops, Mouths, feed Zhaitan, keeping him magically sustained. They ensure he doesn't starve, protecting him from a (to us) more mundane danger than the White Bishops do. And, Trahearne didn't know what the Mouths were when we first saw them. If TRAHEARNE doesn't know about a certain type of Risen - kind of really special Risen there, huh? Probably always kept by Zhaitan's side. Like bishops. The Knights are Eyes because they go everywhere, bringing intellect to him on his own troops, as well as any Pact troops in the area. Imagine if, on a chess board, there was fog-of-war, and you could only see what your pieces saw. Knights would be oh-so-useful then, wouldn't they? The Rooks are ships, because ships generally go from one port to another, in a straight line for maximum effiencency. The Pawns are Risen Abominations, because (unless in great numbers) other minor Risen are merely annoyances. Abominations show up at Events and are actually rather formidable. Rather than Risen Thrall, which just hit you a few times before you knock it out. Pawns are actually an effective piece on the board. Pact vs. Mordremoth: White: King: Player Queen: Trahearne Bishop A: Logan Thackeray Bishop B: Braham Eirsson Knight A: Caithe Knight B: Kasmeer Meade Rook A: Eir Stegalkin Rook B: Rox Pawns: Pact/Vigil soldiers Reasons: The King is the Player same reasons as in PactvZhaitan The Queen is Trahearne because, most frequently, the Queen is what helps win the battle. We would never have won against Mordremoth without Trahearne. The Bishop is Logan for the same reason as before, and Braham too. Because they're both guardians. Caithe is KnightA for the same reasons as before, with Kasmeer being the other Knight because illusions. The Rooks are Eir and Rox because rangers need line-of-sight to shoot, right? Which is a striaght line. And Rooks move in straight lines. (Direct conflict with Eir being a Knight in PvZ, but...) The Pawns are Pact soldiers, again. Black: King: Mordremoth Queen: Faolain Bishop A: Modrem Guard Bishop B: Mordrem Guard Knight A: Vinetooth Knight B: Vinetooth Rook A: Rolling Devil Rook B: Rolling Devil Pawns: Vine Tendrils Reasons: The King is Mordremoth because Elder Dragon The Queen is Faolain because Mordremoth can't have any old Mordrem be his Queen, right? And you normally defeat queens before you get to the kings. Bishops are Mordrem Guard because, as Rytlock (or was it Braham?) says, "they're less mindless than the other Mordrem." (not a direct quote, but I do remember the less mindless part.) Vinetooths are Knights because they're really powerful. They were designed to take out Exalted - Mordremoth's assassins. Rolling Devils roll. In straight lines. And they're really annoying as a result. The Pawns are Vine Tendrils because they're really tough, and really annoying (like real Pawns!). So that's my chess sets. And I made them up wholly in my own head, and so I disclaim only the characters used to create the chess set (and whoever invented chess sets). The reasons why each person is what chess piece are my own mental property (which sounds creepy, after Mordremoth). |
