Once upon a time, in a far away land called High School, I used to write. I wrote a lot. My muse and I would laugh and cry together, creating works that moved us both.

Then one day, I traveled to a new place called College. For reasons I have never understood, my muse did not go with me. As I packed my bags, so too did she, but we went in opposite directions.

[Undisclosed number] years later, some friends of mine finally convinced me to watch a television show that had been playing for more than a decade. Thanks to a magical portal called Netflix, I was able to sit and binge up through ten seasons in what -in hindsight- might have been an unhealthily short amount of time.

What should happen, though, that my muse decided it was time to come back. She whispered in my ear as I watched the show. Filled my head with ideas surrounding the characters I had grown to love. I've never written fan fiction before, I argued with her. I don't know how.

Try, she replied.
