Greetings!

I'm Elseleth, known elsewhere as SabreCat. I'd always shied away from delving into fan fiction, much preferring that my creative energies go toward something more original... until now.

I graduated from college in 2004 with a degree in Creative Writing, and I firmly believe that what makes a good story remains constant across all tale-telling. Speaking vs. writing, one literary genre vs. another, and yes, original vs. fan fiction... it always comes down to the same elements. Plot, characterization, setting. Theme, mood, tone. Exposition, conflict, climax, resolution. Description, dialogue. Rhythm, diction. Grammar, syntax, mechanics. And more besides! Balancing all these factors, weighing some more heavily than others but ignoring none, is the craft of the story-spinner, and the best pull it off with panache while making it fun to read at the same time!

I do not claim to be such a master, of course. I'm just here to practice writing and enjoy myself. Here's hoping you enjoy what bits I come up with for the various fandoms that interest me, and best of luck in your writing as well!

Everything here is readably complete. (Two stories are open-ended that I might continue them, so I haven't flagged them as "Complete", but they stand on their own just fine.) Quality-wise, I'd recommend them in this order:
