With all the blogging I do on my spare time and the sparsly imaginitive mindset I have, it is of surprise that I am finally getting into fan fiction--permanently.

I used to write fan fiction about two years ago but I fell off. I did not know how to manage my time and ended up kicking out stories that were medicore. People had good things to say about them but seeing how I have grown and seeing what I wrote, they were very below average. Now that I am back and understand what it takes to create something more than mediocre, I will be here to stay.

Frankly, I do not read stories much anymore. I read a ton of news now and I have turned into an information junkie over the past few years but I still had this lingering passion to write fan ficition. My favorite type of fan fiction to write is novelizations of video games. I can come up with my own stories but the preparation and the time it takes to do it is a discouraging and frankly, I have not balanced my time that well yet. My favorite game to novelize is Metroid. There is something the story where it tends to leave enough just enough out for someone like myself to fill in gaps. The same goes for Golden Sun, which I was novelizing some years ago. I may pick it up again and simply revamp the entire thing all over again.

As far as actual books, I do not read those as much, if at all. I do like Tom Clancy and his Splinter Cell series, Without Remorse and Rainbow Six but other than that, I have not read too much. Other books I have read are the Scarlet Letter, The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, The Pearl, Going After Cacciatto(sp?); that's all I can remember right now.

My favorite video games are the Super Mario Series, Zelda, Metroid, Soul Calibur, Need for Speed, Halo, Tales of Symphonia, Golden Sun, some Final Fantasy and if you could not tell by my user ID, Kirby.

So what am I working on? As my first foray back into the fan fiction world, I am currently working on a novelization of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. I have no release time for the prologue/first chapter at this point but rest assured, it will be out soon.

By the way, for pairings, I usually stick to the most canonical pairings possible. I am not one to come up with inane pairings such as SamusxRundus(Metroid) or IsaacxKarst(Golden Sun). There are some I can tolerate such as GaretxJenna(Golden Sun) or IsaacxMia but I still have a distaste for those pairings. Basically, whatever is canon or closest to it, that is the pairing I would run with.
